ok so i got he radio hooked into power.... how do you guys suggest that i route the antenna wire? I found a ton of stuff on this subjet for j**ps but nothing for pathfinders.... -study-
-
errrr....that is in the commercial as well, he was playing along
-
well alright now whitch fuse holder should i get 20 amp?
-
i found 10awg, 12awg and 18 awg....which one? and what fuse should i use, 10 20 or 30 amp?
-
k so i should just cut the fuse outa the wire and splice then put a fuse clser to the battery?...makes sense, ok i think i got it.
-
the wire coming out of the radio already has a fuse on the red wire...should i still get a fused wire? or should i just get long enough wire to reach the battery and the grounding spot? negative ground sytem correct?
-
so i have to lengthen the wire somehow, should i just use a wire nut to take it to the battery terminal and to the chassis? the diode thing youre talking about seems like a very good idea where can i pick one up?
-
i agree with you whole-heartedly... where should i hook the power up to, I know this may seem really dumb but that part is confusing the hell outa me right now.
-
thats alot of money....they have less expensive ones....will it make a huge difference or would i even notice
-
oh wow they have that same antenna in a magnetic mount version..sweet
-
specifically im just confused on where to connect the power wires to...the manual has all this crap about negative/positive ground.... thats what im confused about
-
im not either, sorry i came off as upset, the only reason i posted in the garage is because i didnt find anything that helped me with what i specifically needed, and it just sucks to have a post closed in a string where people are supposed to ask for help.
-

Swapping 4wd parts into 2wd, what do I need?
xkrewx replied to blamtro's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
sure it may be cheaper, but is the cost less...when I say cost i mean time and effort and possibly injury (theres always a chance) -

first you should ask yourself, would it be cheaper just to sell the 2wd and buy a 4wd. -
why are you selling it navy?

600,000 km's wow wat is that in miles. i would guess like 300,000 or so but im probably wrong. i dont know if you can call wat i do ecreational offroading but its offroading nonetheless. i was hunting duck with my buddy and he took me to this place way back in the woods and we had to drive over a "very undeveloped road." my pathy was stock at his point and my buddy was driving in a F-150, we had to go through a water outlet for a lake which was about 30 feet across and 2.5 feet deep. my buddy went through and had a whole heep of trouble getting his truck out on the other side. when he got out he laughed at me and said that my rig would never be able to do it seeing as he had trouble with it in his big tough F-150, I didnt want to cancel the trip on account of a creek/river, and i didnt want to leave my car there and wade across either so i looked at him and i said..."ah got *my "vocabulary" is so small* yourself, im comin over," (not actually knowing if i would be coming over or not). I inched down into the river and slowng crawled through the mix of rock and mud until I reached ghe other side and slammed the gas and popped out like a champ! my buddy just looked at me like holy crap... my american rig just got beat by a ricer, and i laughed at him. the end
