It does not feel like using the brakes when the engine is off(ie: no power brakes) I'm familiar with what that feels like. This is like a jam.

@towncivilian. Will do, but again it feels like a mechanical pedal stop. Very different than not having power brakes.

I'm wondering if "Nissan brake override technology" might be the issue. Nissan BOT. Not sure if our whiles come equipped with it or not....
-
@keelhaul - how did you overcome this??
-
It's so weird and really unsafe.. I can't really put it into reverse because I'm already rolling back and It difficult to shift it into R while rolling already. Normally it's in gear and I depress the clutch when it happens, sometime
I'll be in N. my hand brake is @!*% I've been meaning to adjust it for a mo th or two. It's first on the list when I get back from Nicaragua in a week.

I'm
Not saying that's what the feature is called. I'm
Just trying to describe what happens. I have a manual, like I said its not a loss of power brakes, the brake pedal literally cannot be depressed at all when this happens, no matter how much force. If it was a loss of power brakes the pedal could still be depressed and the brakes could still be engaged.

I don't think so, because it's not a lose of power brakes. It's like a full on stopper on the pedal, it's fskced up and I don't get it.
-
Why did Nissan put this feature in and how can I disengage it? I have a had a few situations going up an incline that's to slippery or steep, and as my 02, r50 starts rolling back down the brake pedal gets overridden and can not be depressed. I have almost hit trees and other vehicles because of this and I did it very unsafe. Has anyone else experienced this?

Now your screen name makes sense! Nice car. Those Skylines are awesome. As rare as they are here, I saw them all over the place when I was stationed in Okinawa for a year. Man, I wish I would have brought one home!
What were you doing in Okinawa?? I know a few guys that bring cars in from japon regularly if you are looking for a source

Importing a car into the states is a pain. It has to be 25 years old for starters.....
Sweet Skyline. I'd like a Stagea.
Im also a fan of the stagea's especially with the R34 front end. I'm planing on picking up a R34 GTR for my daily street fighter within 2 years, and finishing my car into track only. Further plans are to have a Jzx100 as a daily. and i was even thinking of a Nissan Patrol for my serious offroad rig.

The Skyline's a right hooker? Is it a British model or one of those other crazy countries that like to drive on the wrong side of the road?
Skylines were only ever made RHD, Its from japan. I had it imported 8 years ago through a friend of mine. I think it was a family car before i had it. Its got to be 15 years or older to import

Alright i'll quit teasing now. This is my Real Project. She started her life as a bone stock GTS-T when i got her 8 years ago. Since then, ive been through hell and back multiple times. Ive rebuilt the motor 4 times, forged internals the whole lot, 600hp capable. I swapped in a bigger RB25DET, and loaded it to the tits, in anticipation for a big top mount turbo. The way it sits now, she puts 360hp to the wheels and 330lbs/ft to the wheels. Thats with a tiny little HKS GT2535r bottom mounted and running only 15psi and an agressive 270 degree cam! Thats healthy!! Anyways.. With out turning this into a skyline build thread, ill list the mods and some pics for those that are interested.
