  1. i am doing a full oil change on my 93 (tranny fluid,Transfer case fluid, and engine oil and filter) i need to know what oil i should put in each of these, im running low on money so cheaper stuff is what im looking for. the rig has 209,XXX mile and i think the engine takes 10-40W but im not quite sure and i dont have the books for it....

  2. im trying to get some tires, probably used, (low budget), i need tires that will be good on gravel, the beach, snow, and every other normal driving condition that is normally encountered...... any ideas would be great....

  3. man, where does everybody find these pretty rust free Pathfinders? Withe fender flares!! I want fender flares :(

haha think I'm going to have to come down to the states this summer and find a shiny 'new' rig

ya know, ive been under mine a lot latly, and i have looked for rust, and.... nada... i must have got one of the "good" ones... :)

  4. Wow, good looking pathy, especially for the miles. I've never seen a black bumper like that. All the ones I see are bare metal or rusted. That's how mine was til a rattle canned it black, but yours looks real good!

yeah by the looks of it, the previous owner spray painted it.. cant wait till i get it back...

  5. welcome to the site NICE TRUCK, kind of looks like mine,

  11. Welcome!

Sounds like a pretty solid base to start with, all things considered. Mechanical problems are actually the easiest repairs. Body and interior are a bit tougher to get right. Take a peep at the common problems/fixes post if you haven't already, there's some good info in there. And keep your friend and grampa close by, they sound very useful. :aok:

Yes they are very helpful, tranny is sittin on the floor at gpas shop right now, after six hrs of work we got it out...

  12. I'll add pics as soon as I can. It's in the shop right now but when I go down there next weeknd I'll take some pics of the tranny work and stuuf were doin. But for now I'll add some pics I already have, tomorrow. Sorry, I was thinking about pics when I made the thread... :)

  13. Coil signal schematic diagram is shown at page EF&EC-90 ("Engine Fuel and Emission Control System", EC.pdf). Trace circuit from ECU pin 3.

But if you have problem in this circuit, you should get a diagnostic trouble code 21 ("Ignition signal") from ECU. If not - probably, coil "feedback" circuit is fine.

Me think, tacho signal generation inside ECU based on signal from CMPS (Camshaft Position Sensor). This is more precisely and robust way. At the same time, ignition signal monitored by ECU to detect misfire and prevent cat damage (unburned fuel into cat).

x2 to adamzan - tach itself is the culprit in most cases on 94-95 Pathfinders (with "round" dashboard).

I have this same problem on my 93 but most of the time the tach doesnt work at all... And sometimes ill look down and it will be working jsut fine... doesnt matter if i hit the dash or a bump.... can some sugest what i should do? i hate not having my tach when i have my stereo turned up.:)

  14. My rig is a 93 nissan pathfinder. It's black, has black tinted windows, mag wheels and an awesome stereo that consists of two ten inch subs in a ported enclosed fiber glass box with a jensen 600w amp, stock tweeters, and new door and ceiling speakers.... Has 209,xxx mile and still runs great cept for a small oil leak and needs tranny work, plus small other pieces.... Bad tranny bearings, needs tires, needs oil chang and oil leak fixed, needs torsion bars turned up a lil, it sits really low in the front, plus a few other minor things, but just the tranny bearings alone are gonna cost $168 and the generous help of a friend doing the work.... Lots of work needs to be done, and after cranking the torsion bars my gpa is gonna align it at his shop...
