  1. I'm trying to find the sas build thread new4x4'r posted about his sas with stangs fab... I know there was a lot of pics and good info in it. Anyone help Me find it?
  2. Thanks, took about a week to build it. It's a shorty and gives me good approach angles. Update* Got the rear suspension transferred over as well as the rear bumper today. I've actually been talking with a busy if mine who owns a 4x4 customization shop about building some front and rear Dana 44s and 4 linking the front... But these are just plans for now and I am going to stick with the sfd for now. This new pathy is so clean, it reminds me if when I first got mine before the salt on the roads of nh got to it.
  3. Your going to wanna run 31x10.50's after the lift btw, the 245's will seem too small
  4. If you are currently running them then they will fit... The tires have to clear the bottom of the spring perch on the strut. They are on righ tnow but there isn't much room right? Then they will fit alot better once the lift is in.
  5. Should fit with the rims but with oversized tires on your stock rims you might need spacers
  6. Sorry about that, please use te link http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/38620-just-got-a-new-projectpathy-parting-out-old-pathy/ for parts requests.
  7. You need a pretty modified/lifted 4x4 to make it from one end to the other on shirkin rd. And don't go alone unless you have a winch because you will get stuck
  8. How about $100 for the roof rack and I will look into shipping tomorrow. As for the arm rests how about $30 for just the arm rests with no switches, and what's the zip code for shipping?
  9. New one already has them, they are in perfect condition. You just looki for the panel or panel with switches?
  10. I just picked up a 2000 Pathfinder 4x4 LE with 175k with absolutely no rust, and since I can't get the motor to run in my old one as well as the body has major rust issues from driving up north in NH for 8 years I decided to purchase this new pathy and swap everything over to it (suspension, bumpers, rocker guards, interior because my old interior is in better shape, etc...) Basically I am going to take the stock copenents and put them back in my old pathy and vise versa. Please let me know if you have any parts request from my old pathy, there are still a bunch of great parts and I am contemplating just keeping ti for a parts rig. Either way let me know if anyone would be interested in some parts. My old pathy is a 1999.5 4x4 LE. my old pathy:
  11. It's been awhile since I have been on here, and I am in the process of getting my pathy back on the road; but I might have the opportunity to purchase a 97 4x4 se pathy that does not have the rust issue my current pathy has since it is from up north. I was just wondering if my custom front bumper would be interchangable, because I know the lift kit components like the SFD and everything else would be. If I got this new pathy I would change everything over to it from my current one and swap most of the stock parts back to mine; minus the bumpers because they would obviously not match. I beleive everythign would be ok, but just wanted a second opinion. Also would there be any interest in anyone from here in any of the parts from my original pathy if I decided to part it out instead?
  12. Is that panhard drop going to get in the way? It just looks like it could snag on something while crawling and rip off, otherwise very good design and I am kinda jealous... My pathy is still on jack stands in the garage because I am currently fixing my boat...
  13. No pics if that yet but here is the Visio I got using my winch in Christmas Day last year...
  14. There was definitely some after we got the tire changed and back home, we were in the middle of the woods in the middle of nowhere in NH and we used what we had to get the job done.... I'm not saying it was the safest way to do it but it got done... These days I just throw a tree saver around a thick branch and use my smittybilt XRC-8 to lift the front end... much easier...
  15. It can be done using two D rings.... how do I know this..... I've done it.... Was it safe, probably not but I got the tire changed on the trail; and in the process I put a crease in my bumper cover and broke one of my offroad lights at the time. But it is a offroad vehicle and not a beuty queen and I had to get the tire changed in order to make it out of the trail...
  16. Piece your lift together 4"SFD+2"AC lift=6" lift. Get the 4"SFD and the only thing you will need from AC is the front 2" lift springs and possibly new struts and you will get 6" of lift.
  17. Thank everyone, I just got the parts today, I'm working on my Harley this weekend, I need to pull the primary and put on a new drive belt and new gaskets so next weekend is going to be dedicated to just the trailfinder. Thanks for all the support and I will hopefully have some new pics/videos up soon enough.
  18. I have not been able to work on any of my toys for the past couple months due to health issues, I had gastric sleeve surgery in December 2012 and so far I've lost 101 lbs but I had complications due to my surgery and had to go into the hospital for a week due to blood clots in both my lungs, and both my legs. I am doing much better now but have to be on blood thinners for the rest of my life, and just got the ok from my doctor to be able to actually start doing stuff again; I will be posting pics of my progress. Also I recently just bought a house and found out that my neighbor owns a Auto customization shop called trickin out trucks and is willing to help me with a SAS for about 3 grand. New Distributor, New plugs/wires, tires need to be rebeaded on the rim and it needs a really good bath. My harley should be back on the road this weekend also just waiting on the parts to show up. (new drive belt, and primary gaskit kit) The inside is extemely dirty still but it felt good to get back into the driver seat.
  19. I Found this write up in the SFD write up, ask shift220 if he still has the picture that was on this post..... Alright so I thought I would need a small spacer and a longer bolt but it turns out to get it tight enough you need bolt it down like stock. First I loosened and removed the steering linkage off the steering rack. This had to be shortened after rotating the rack anyway. I then took off the driver side bracket and loosened the passenger one to rotate the rack. I just wiggled it upwards how far it would go without really pushing it. Checked the linkage and it was nearly straight. Perfect. Then I did the wire trick and figured out that each ear on the bracket just needed to be angled more. You can see in the picture about how much. I just cranked the bracket in the vise and took a few good wacks at it. The white is the modified bracket. It needed to be bent roughly 10 degrees so the picture can be printed out and will help if you need it (check it on the vehicle too). What I did was hold it tight on the top bolt and make sure the square part hugged the bushing well. You'll notice that the bottom part is about 20mm above the stock mounting hole. This is where I figured I needed a spacer and a longer bolt but it turns out cranking down the stock one worked perfect and held it tight. Of course I forgot to take pictures of it but if I did now you wouldn't noticed much of a change except the rack pointing up more.
