Thanks, I will give it a shot this weekend... I am going chrome-less on my ride and am going to paint it flat black like the rest of my emblems....
-
This isn't mine, but mine looks the same... I can get better pics if it would be helpful.
-
Before I start messing around with it too much in an effort to take it off, I thought I would see if anyone knows how it is attached? I am hoping it is just stuck on with adhesive and will come off easily... any insight?
-
I guess I just need to get all the other stuff out of the way and give it some more oompf. I want to keep it in reasonable shape so, ideally, I can switch the two sensors to verify that it is definitely the sensor, before replacing it. Thanks for the link! You just saved me some hard-earned dollars!

Extending/relocating differential breather tube?
fusion replied to fusion's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Did you relocate yours or just extend it? Do you know what size tubing it is off-hand? -
I have a GPS, which is fine for monitoring speed but I would also like readings on mileage for an accurate odomoeter/tripometer as well as for calculating gas mileage. I also plan on doing a double-din radio w/ GPS so my one I use now will no longer be needed and I am not sure what features the new one will have and I don't want to look that far down to check my speed.

Does anyone know the part number so I can adjust up to 32" tires and where I could get it from?
-
After my lift, my differential breather tube keeps coming off... not good. I took a closer look and noticed that it doesn't go up very high. Has anyone extended/re-located theirs higher that can offer some info like tube size, length, places to secure it higher, etc.?

That is helpful to be sure but my wiring harness is in the way and I simply just can't get the frickin thing out! I am checking my swirl valves and putting new plugs in soon so hopefully I will be able to get better access to it then.

Loc-tited my wheel spacers... I can breath a little bit easier now.
-
I have ready my Haynes manual and the FSM but am still at a loss for how to get the damn sensor out, let alone verify that it needs to be replaced... help?
-
OK, mine is coming out, asap....

Maybe someone who has removed their rear swaybar can offer some insight for me? I know there has been discussion regarding how much it affects the handling/bodyroll and I am comfortable with that issues but what I am trying to balance that against is just how much more articulation taking it out creates?

So, while installing my strut spacers, I realized that I installed one of my strut assemblies before torquing the strut piston rod nut down. I obviously torqued it to spec right away but does it matter that I did after it was in the car, as opposed to outside of the car with the spring compressors still on? I hope not.... I really really don't want to uninstall it and have to put it back in.

The gas cap thing has got me before but I think this is my intake valve timing control position sensor.
-
OK, that thing looks awesome. Me want.

I think I have it figured out but I will give ya a call tomorrow...

Yeah, I know a guy who was an Infiniti/Nissan tech for a couple decades then opened his own mom and pop. I'll have him pull the code tomorrow morning... he isn't local though and driving that far running a CEL is a bit nerve-wracking. Some other work I have done in the last few months on the rig are: an AC lift, cb radio, custom cat-back flowmaster exhaust, K&N filter, PIAA bulbs, new front and rear clear light housings, new wheel bearings, oil/filter change and some other stuff. I don't think any of that would cause a CEL though, at least, not that I know of.

I have no idea what the BS or offset of the wheels are. They are the stock wheels (2002 SE. If you happen to know what those measurements are, I would be delighted to have them. All I have to go by right now is my current clearance, which isn't much, I am pretty sure I will need them. Can I put spacers on the rear too or will the tire not tuck into the wheel well properly? I am OK with a little trimming but I am hoping to avoid anything major, hence the 32" tires instead of 33s.

Hey everyone. So, my check engine light came on today and I am little surprised to say the least. My Pathfinder runs really well and I average about 19 mpg. No funny behaviors or noises. About 100 miles ago, I installed the Warn manual hubs. Could this be the cause of the CEL? Does anyone know a way to get the computer to spit the codes out other then having a diagnostic tool, via blinking light or any other way?

I will know this weekend if I need spacers... Going to run 265/75r16 Mickey Thompson MTZs on the stock wheels. Truck has AC lift and NX4 strut spacers (soon). If I do need them, this thread is all kinds of win. Thanks for all the tips and links!
-
Man! I just bought spacers.... oh well. Will your front/rear spacers be usable along with the AC lift (maybe combined with the half-shaft spacers?) to give more lift? I just got the nx4 spacers to level my rig out as it was too low in the front after the ac lift but would be interested in a spacer set to get another inch or so on top of the leveled AC lift. Keep us posted! Big props for developing/producing r50 parts!!!

I am very interested to see how these work out for you.... keep us posted with pics and a report post-install please!

I am going to start a build thread with pics and videos soon... keep your eyes on the members rides section. So far, I've done a cb install, the lift, manual hubs, clean lights, flowmaster exhaust, etc. with lots more to come.
