  1. I wired my factory fog lights from the parking lights. I tapped into the corner lamp to trigger the relay for the fog lights so I could run them with the parking lights only or with the headlights. Didn't notice until I was done that when I arm the alarm with keyfob, the park lights flash like usual but the fog lights do also. Will that quick jolt to the relay and fog lights burn them out quicker? Sorry so wordy

  2. My girlfriend washed my factory Nissan remote in the laundry. Changed the battery as it was rusted and replaced the battery but the range got worse and worse until it completely died. I opened the remote up and cleaned everything but still no luck. Can anyone recommend a eBay remote that works well with the factory system. Thanks

  3. Well I went to the junkyard and got a new speedometer assembly that is within a 1k of what I think the

mileage should be. For the speedo, plastic cluster cover, horn assembly for the steering wheel and the light cover for the hatch area was only $11.65. Better than 300 bucks at the dealer.

  4. Hey everyone, I took my speedo apart today to fix the odometer. Got the odometer working but I didn't mark where the speedo needle should be. I doesn't want to move past 10mph. Everything else works fine. Can anyone tell me how to get the speedo reading right?

  5. I've replaced the plugs, checked the timing and air filter and sensor. Was just thinking about a 15yr old fuel pump leaving me stuck in the middle of nowhere. I try to do as much preventive maintaince as possible. My time is streched so thin, I like to fix things before they break.

  6. Hey everyone, I was looking around on rockauto.com and they have a beck/arnley fuel pump for 52,Delphi for 102 and the Bosch pump for 185. Truck runs good now but like to stock up on parts if there cheap enough. Does anyone has any comments or experience with these brands?

  7. On my 95, after you remove the surround from the dash you can take the whole control panel loose from the dash. There is a cover that snaps around the unit that has clips on the top and bottom. If you pop that loose you can see the bulb. Mine has a single bulb in the middle. My bulb is good but if you tap the outside with the lights on it will light up. If think the wires going to the plug to light everything up is loose. Hope this helps.

  8. I had to order from summit racing. The goofball at the dealership tried to give me pennzoil gl-5. I told no thanks I like my transmission in one piece. I pulled up a pic of the Nissan gl4 bottle to prove that Nissan has there own line of gear oil. Ordered from summit on Monday and it showed up the next day.

  9. Hey everyone, I'm replacing the clutch this weekend and I thought I would change the transmission fluid. The dealer has the gl-4 in stock and is it synthetic or dino oil? It's 11 bucks versus 19 for royal purple. Which would be best? Can't order online, takes too long. I changed the fluid 20k miles ago with redline. Would it be ok to reuse? Having to buy 8 quarts can get pricey. Thanks

  10. When I did my timing belt, I had mine off one tooth. Put it all together and crank it up and it sounded good. But the test drive sucked. No power and bucking. Fixed the tooth count and 30000 miles later no problems.

  11. Use the 3m super 77 spray that has been mentioned. 3m has a super 90 that's in a green can but it will distort the vinyl. There is a chemical in it that reacts with certain materials and turns them to a gooey mess.

  12. Mine was doing the same thing. I removed the vinyl and sanded all the glue and painted it. Mine has the gray interior. The paint matched the dark gray perfect. It's a textured paint by rust-oleum. Name is dark pewter at Walmart.

  13. Trying to find a speedometer assembly for my 95. I find a 96 pickup and 93 and 96 pathfinder on craigslist. Can anyone tell me what years and models cross over? Pulling my hair out with no odometer. And the speedometer is 5mph slow.
