  1. anyone know a good place to shop around for a 5 speed tranny for my 95 SE?
  2. don't most pathfinders actually have a drain plug for the tranny fluid? i might be on crack but i thought i remembered seein one on mine (shows much time i've spent underneath it since i got it a few months ago haha)
  3. if you rip up the carpet there you're not going to find anything in your way. i completely ripped the entire inside of my pathy apart a few weeks ago and at the point in the pic you have up there shouldn't be anything. if they did a sloppy job, possibly some wires going into the buttons on your center console but that's about it
  4. not sure exaclty what the mpg is, i'll have to test it. all i know is i drive from hamden, CT to just north of Providence RI (a 2 hour trip) and i kill almost half a tank sometimes goin no more than 70 mph
  5. yeah it's not the spare tire carrier i'm used to that noise haha, i'll have to check the other stuff when the sun comes up. errrr i hate being awake at 5am for no reason
  6. i've been noticing a real loud thunk/thump kinda noice when i got over a big bump at low speeds when i'm turning sharp. though it might be somethin with the shocks or the tires hitting (i've got the 31x10.5x15's on it). any ideas?
  7. SE, like i said on another post there's nothin like havin heated seats when you're off roading in the winter haha. i've always liked having very few power things, but it's nice to have in a truck
  8. oh and as far as the gas mileage, yeah it's not gonna be as good. mine sucks with these tires but it's well worth it if you do any kinda offroading
  9. my pathy is all stock except the wheels and tires, biggest i could fit on it (95 SE) were 31x10.5x15 BFG All Terrains. they definitly do some rubbing, especially going over rocks off road or big speed bumps. throw a lift kit on there and put some bigger stuff on it!
  10. hahahaha a pathy with a 350, now THAT would be interesting! as far as the convoy goes, hell yeah that'd be great. heated seats while stuck in 3ft of snow, now that's the Air Force way of doin things
  11. wow, yeah that definitly sucks man. $79 sure aint bad though. p.s. thank you everyone for havin these forums, i'm sittin in my bio class at college right now and if it wasn't for readin this stuff i'd prolly go postal
  12. ya know, i've had it happen to my 95 a bunch of times. every time it happens, i hit unlock and open up the trunk door and hit unlock again. for some reason it usually works; i think it has something to do with the locking mechanism in the back and might happen when u leave a door open and use the lock button? all in all it's plain screwy. yelling and swearing usually helps too.
  13. yeah i've got 31x10.5's on my 95 pathy and noticed the turning radius got even worse. you guys think it's really that bad an idea to adjust it? i can't see anythin all that bad happenin if you're just pullin a u turn but i definitly wouldn't be crankin the wheel doin 50 lol
  14. haha lovin the comments guys (and to you who mentioned overcompensating hahaha i've always been a chevy guy, this is my first non-chevy). funny you guys say you were runnin with everythin else out there, i've done some pretty serious stuff with my buddies who both have jeeps and i have to say my pathy did everythin and more that they could do. it is kinda cool goin offroadin with heated seats lol
  15. Yeah I'm debating on what to do with my Pathy. Great truck so far, does well offroad. I do miss my 85 Blazer Silverado though, nothing like knowing you can run over someone's house without thinkin twice about it. To keep it simple.... 350 motor, 6" lift, 35x12.5QR18 BFG Mud Terrains, and straight pipe dual exhaust. Obviously the Pathy will never reach that level, but it's a nice truck for a daily driver and it does well offroad. My dillema is whether or not to sell it and save money to build another monster truck haha. Is the Pathy worth holdin onto?
  16. after ripping everything apart and putting it back together over and over again, i found that it helps to depress the so called "window lock" button. this will enable you to use all of the windows. i think i drink too much.
  17. ok it's official, my buddy and i are going to have to get drunk and do this. only good things happen with beer so i'm sure i won't screw it up haha took my pathy on the best off-road trip i've ever taken it on last friday. and i thought CT had nothing to offer! we actually ended up finding an old NIKE missle site
  18. awesome, good call on 4x4parts.com. now for the big question.... haha i've never done a lift before, how difficult is it without having a lift and where is a good place to get instructions on how to install it?
  19. and i did pull the door apart, checked the wires and everything they all look good. cleaned the ports too, still nothin
  20. 88path, nah the windows don't work on their own switches either unfortunately. only one that actually does anything is the driver's
  21. god i wish i had crank windows. as of right now the only window that works is my driver's side front. when i hit the button to move it, i get a clicking side from near speaker panel on passenger door. any ideas? all elec locks work, just not the windows.
  22. i've been reading about how adjusting the tortion bars can give u a quick/easy lift. how bad can it be for your truck? also, does it lift just the front or does it lift the rear as well? thanks a bunch guys
  23. i am just starting to get into off roading, thanks to the 95 pathy i just bought. i really want to do a body lift on it, but i can't seem to find anywhere online to buy one for a 95. seems like everyone's selling stuff for pre-90's. any ideas on where to look? how hard would it be to install? (i've got some basic general experience and tend to have a nack for mechanical stuff, just never been invovled with lifts before)
