  1. Cool mod. Question; where did you locate the door sensor grounds? Particulary the drivers side, if known.
  2. If it is the idler pulley bearing..You can purchase just the bearing and install yourself. like $4, pretty easy to do. I bought mine at Oreily's. I took the belt off and tied it to the side to confirm where the noise was coming from.

  4. Heres what I used. It's from a 1990 XJ. The holder goes around the emergency brake too. I just haven't figured out how to secure it, yet. I am also including a pic of a hood light from the same vehicle. It extends all the way to the rear of the vehicle then retracts.
  5. I just got a new o2 sensor in the mail. It was supposed to be direct fit but, it's about 2' short. Being in a bind I cut the existing wire and spliced in the new o2. I got the black wire, duh. Does it matter with the 2 white wires? One is ground and one is signal?
  6. If I remember reading my FSM correctly.. that antenna is for AM.
  7. Here are a few links the first one is an actuall install on a R200 http://z31.com/mods/drivetrain/phantomgrip/ Next link scroll down too Nissan. The price is ridiculous http://www.autotech.com/quaife/index2.htm
  8. Yes Precise1 there are a few others that make LSD for the r200's. I will get back to you with the rest. I do know that they cost upwards of a $1,000 or more though.
  9. Just got back from the dealer. I now have brand new seatbelts on order. it was real easy, You have to bring the vehicle in so they can check that they don't infact retract. and they needed the trim code from the metal plate in the engine bay. It was so easy, I even called Acura and also have new belts on the way for my wifes car!
  10. I been doing research on this product for a while. I got alot of mixed results from various people. This lSD was primarily designed for the ricer racers/drifters with big horsepower. I called the designer a few months back and asked him if this would work on a R200A his answer was yes. But we would have to order the "extreme" package. I wanted to post the info here. But, Because he never added it to his catalog I didn't take him all that serious about the application on pathfinders. I just went and checked the website and it is now listed. I figured for the amount of time I spend in 4X4 and when I do it's only mud or sugar sand, sooo i believe this would hold up quite well for my needs. Check it out. I look forward to the remarks. http://store.phantomgrip.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=238
  11. Mine does it in cold mornings. Usually when the temps are below 35.
  12. I have been siffing around about this LSD. I read on alot of Nissan performance forums that this isn't all that bad. I emailed the company and the guy said although there is no directg application for a Pathfinder as long as we have a R200 (in this case) this locker would work. He also said it was rated up to 1000 BHP. I have Rear LSD and I only see sugar sand and some mud. This might not work for the hard core guys but, for me it looks like an option that we didn't have before. check the link out http://phantomgrip.com/catalog/index.php?m...products_id=107
  13. Living here in FL it gets pretty hot and I would like to help the condenser out a bit. Has anyone installed a pusher fan in between the condenser and grill? I have a tranny cooler on one side and have room on the other for a small fan.
  14. What does code 51 actually mean? My pathy stutters at idle and under load. I am familiar with a leaky injector because I just replaced one. Although there was no code in that instance. This time same sort of symptoms but, with a code. I did a search but found nothing specific. My #5 plug was completely fouled from too much gas (and yes, I checked spark..). I could easily change the injector but the code confuses me. Is the injector mechanically leaking or is circuit keeping it open?
  15. The thrust block needs to come out with disk brakes whether its a lockrite or not. You could grind the end of the axle down to get it to work but, you would be better off taking the 3rd apart again to inspect.
  16. Yeah, I hear that he was starting to scare me for a minute, thinking now I have to buy another Thrust block. I got my diif. off again and I'm pretty sure I found my problem. There was no Thrust block in there. So the axles had nothing to back up to. I just used the TB out of my open and put it in the LSD.
  17. Thanks Slick, I don't think so with out a major disassembly. I don't know if I have to switch over the thrust block from my drum set up to the now LSD set up. I got two different part numbers from Nissan on the TB's one for the LSD and one for the open w/ drum. Open diff. with disk doesn't have a thrust block. Open diff. w/ drum does. LSD has a throttle block but, different part number than a open diff. throttle block. I don't know if I have to put the drum brake Throttle block in the LSD. I'm hoping to solve a major issue, I have it posted in the garage section.
  18. Does the stock LSD w/ stock disk brake have a thrust block installed? If not, what goes inbetween the center of the axles? pd-80 of the FSM shows a LSD with a thrust block. but, on pd-74 it shows a pic of a 4 pinion diff. with an asteric (*) on the TB and notes that the TB is only for drum brakes. I thought a majority of LSD had disk brake therefor no TB. I'm still trying to diagnose a driveability problem since I installed the LSD.
  19. Yes 88, I swapped the whole 3rd member, all 90 lbs. of it. Correction, I replaced the inside carrier not the whole rear end. I thought just the inside was the 3rd member.
  20. Sure did. I put in Syn. blend, said its safe for LSD
  21. I just installed rear LSD today off a known good vehicle. While I still had it in the air I spun the rear tires just to see them go in the same direction. When I tried to turn the wheel it was real hard to do, it took both hands to do it and then they stopped right away. I remember doing that before the swap and the tires would spin easily. I took it for a road test and I could feel resistance. Meaning it took a little more gas to go forward. While cruising there is a low vibration sound coming from the rear. Also, while cruising if I release the gas it slows down noticeably. I was thinking maybe the axle ends need to be shimmed out some. Is it possible the axles are squeezing the 3rd member too tight?
  22. Well, I am very happy to say it's fixed. I'm not entirely sure how but, it is. I pulled all plugs to check for fouling and they checked out good. maybe I had a loose plug wire or something. After all the parts I changed and cleaned the system then cleaned again. My truck runs like a raped ape now. See "hesitation woes" topic for update.
  23. As the Sea Foam seemed to band aid the hesitation for a while I ultimately ended up changing a stuck injector. Of course it was #6 but, it's done and runs great although, I made a stupid mistake as posted in another topic. I got a great price for a brand new injector from Advance Auto $38. I couldn't believe it so I asked to him to verify it was new the guy said yes. I think I got a great deal. If any one needs injectors price them there first. I went through hell trouble shooting this thing. Anyone with symptoms like mine think about a stuck injector . There were no codes and the resistance checked out fine @13.5 ohm. Hope everyone else has a better time diagnosing than I did.
  24. I just replaced a #6 injector, took my time with assembly thought I had everything hooked up properly and even double checked. Started it up and it ran like complete crap, could hardly keep it running. A whole bunch of white smoke started coming out of the exhaust and then water. Scratched my head and realized I put on a couple of hoses wrong. I put the charcoal vacuum line on the water outlet ( they are real close) like a dummy. What ever was a vacuum line and wherever that goes got full of coolant. I checked the oil for water didn't find any. But, the smoke came out for about 15 min. of slow driving. Now the smoke stopped but, it runs like crap. What could I of effected?
  25. Yeah, That's exactly what I did... I removed the filter and filled the whole thing up w/ SF. It might of ran with a very small bit of hesitation but, nothing big. The fuel filter is under pressure so enough fuel will mix in to run. The beauty of this is that anyone that wants to clean the injectors can do it. I wish I did this first
