  1. Ok so I was tinkering round in the engine bay this weekend when I noticed a blue relay was missing. My ride works fine I’m not having any problems I know of but I was curious as to what the relay is for so I looked in my Chilton guide and couldn’t find any mention of it. Than I noticed in one of the picture some labeling and the label attached to my missing relay was "Auto Amplifier Relay" but no other mention of it. I've been doing some searches on it but still can not find any detailed on this relay. There are three relays that sit on the wall close to the battery and the one furthest behind the battery is the one that’s missing. Does anyone know what this relay is for should I be concerned or what?
  2. Thanks Nige I know lot of ppl aren't feeling me on this but I'm a creative person, a Nissan fan, and my baby is my creative outlet. I'm trying not to be as tacky as stick-on vents that don't vent, so I've been working on my idea alil more and I think the plan is to put a acrylic backing on the badge and light up the acrylic from behind using LEDs. Doing as you suggested do you know if I could still do it using an LED setup?
  3. Right now this is jus a mock-up but my hope is to get to the point where it lights up and blinks with the turn signals like on the BMW Z4. Since i've never done this before i foresee the hard part for me is to run the wires for the light and to do what i want without fring my electrical system. Is it the Nissan logo you dislike cuz my original thought was to get some badges made that was the same shape but said NISMO or PATHFINDER instead?
  4. What do yall think bout the BMW Z4 and the 350Z they are the culprits that also contributed to this idea Maybe if it was something other than a nissan badge??? Maybe if it said Pathfinder, Nike, or NPORA ??? In all seriousness I do want ppl to continue to take the poll, ask questions and offer constructive criticism.
  5. The plan is to get to the point of a light in the shape of the logo but I think to start I need to figure out the size first. So even if I wasn't planning on lighting it I take it you're not a fan of the Harley Davidson Ford pickup trucks or is it just the word "sidemaker" that throws you off?
  6. Ok so I'm in the process of developing a new prototype project. So I have this idea to have a sidemarker made in the shape of the nissan logo. I am still working on developing this idea so since I am a very visual person I took a badge I had jus laying round and thought I'd tape it to various locations to see what it would look like and where it would fit best. Im pretty set one the logo shape but I'm not sure bout the size or if I should replace the Nissan name with something else. Well out of all the spots I'm really feeling this one so I setup a poll but I'm also open to suggestions and comments. :coffee!:
  7. Its bulky, restrictive, and inefficient design. I haven't dyno mine but weather it be 1hp or 15hp I'll take it. I believe the pics show the space recovered and since I don't have video... if you don't have one installed than you're missing out on how good she sounds with it. :jig: But hey what do I know It's just my opinion
  8. Are you planing to replace them with stock horns or something different? Just the other night my friend and i was talking bout replacing mine with some that sound like a semi's
  9. Ok forgive if I am wrong but if I'm not mistaken my 95SE has heater core, blower motor and a/c evap core instead of an air filter? I been doing some looking and i can not find an how to on how to access and clean the ventilation system in my rig. I would appreciate if anyone knows or knows where i can find detailed instruction (prefer pics included ) on how to do this?
  10. I got it off ebay heres the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NISSAN-PATHFINDER-PICKUP-XE-SE-AIR-INTAKE-3-0L-91-1995_W0QQitemZ280419902293QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item414a542355#ht_2689wt_935 I don't know about any loss of of power or mpg because i didn't dyno it before and after but i haven't notice a loss and she sure does sound good though.
  11. When driving in 2WD turning is ok but when I'm in 4WD it feels like the front axle wants to bind up if I go more than a quarter turn on the wheel. Needless to say when I have to I only put it in 4WD when going straight and lane change and 2WD when parking. So I had this crazy idea... I was thinking is there an upgrade for the front axle??? Something that will allow me to make better turns in 4WD without fear of binding. Is there an aftermarket company that makes front axles that have better U or CV joints? Or is there a rig I with better 4WD turning that trasplant to replace mine? Also i just wanted to share with yall some pics of my rig before and after I put 1.25in wheel spacers on... before after The last pic if you look close you can see the front one is done but i had not gotten to the rear one yet.
  12. INTAKE UPDATE so I'm alil late but here are some before and afters... Don't have any dyno numbers but she sounds good!!!
  13. Check Ebay there's where i got mine from. you can also try Ikeyless.com
  14. Which one and why? I saw some but they didn't really get my attention.
  15. Ok I'm in the process of researching front shocks to purchase for my rig. My ride height is stock with no intentions to change it. I'm not racing or off roading but I want something better than OEM. Although it would be nice that if i did decide to do that I'd be in good hands. So I've found a few maybe you can let me know what yall think. More than just opinion I'm hoping yall can provide me with facts on why you think a certain one is better than the other and its pros & cons. If there is one I've missed Let me know. Thanks everyone
  16. Can i use any grease? I was thinking of using some marine grease but its so sticky it may be overkill?
  17. Yeah i tried doing multiple searches and the most i could find was about snorkels. The downside is that I'm not looking to do a snorkel. Maybe i'm not using the right words but thats why i posted this if nothing else may you or someone could give me the right words to use or a link or two? So through more research and luck I'm beginning to wonder if i could fit an aftermarket cold air intake kit for the 2000-2001 WD22 VG33E Xterra to my application?
  18. Ok so i did a search on 95 WD21 intakes and came up with some good info but did not find what i was looking for. As the topic title implies I'm looking to replace my stock intake and as of right now it looks like my only option is a universal kit from Pepboys. The pros bout going that route is that i think i can do it for under 100$, the con is that from the looks of this kit it is not filling me with confidence because the pipe looks like chrome plastic. lol I was hoping to find a cold air kit for my application but could only find ones for 96+ and with a cost of 200$+. Any ideas?
  19. JGC??? I don't have the tools to cut anything and not a fan of cutting springs. Although I will keep it in mind as a last resort. I would much rather find some I can jus "pop-in".
  20. I'm looking for stiffer springs to replace my stock rear ones but I am not looking to change my current (still stock) ride height... any ideas where i can get a pair of these mythical creatures? :coffee!:
  21. Thanks to everyone for the kudos and the constructive input ... Like i said my plan is to replace all the bushings i can with urethane Right now I'm still rolling stock wheels with no plans right now to go up or down, but i have been playing with idea of trying to find the same height but stiffer rear springs to put on my baby.
  22. UPDATE!!! Lately I’ve been focused on replacing as many of the stock rubber bushing with polyurethane ones as much as possible. So far I’ve replaced the bushings for the front compression rods. The bushings are listed as front strut rod bushings... after much research and no real help from that Chilton book I bought, I found out that 89-95 PF have compression rods not strut rods. I've also replaced the OEM front bump stops… with low profile urethane bump stops And I figured since I was already there to replace the front OEM sway bar bushings too. She squeaks like sex on an old bed but I don't mind... Better that than a tick from the engine I can't find. I used all of that sticky @$$ grease that came with it maybe I should've gone and bought more to use before the install. Owell live and learn Now I know for when I do the rear sway bar. (note to self and whom ever else: buy and use plenty of that grease that is so sticky it feels more like glue than grease when installing urethane bushings)
  23. Ok so I was up under the hood of my baby the other weekend installing new bushings when I came across what I think is a grounding wire. It's connected to the body in the area between the intake filter and the windshield fluid tank. I have a missing bolt on the heat shield on my header and thought maybe it came from there except it does not reach that far. Than I thought it may be from the alternator but after talking to a few friends they say that my alternator would not work if that was so. And my baby runs jus fine. Than someone suggested that it may be for an option for the Pathfinder that was not equipped on my rig. All I know is that it goes to something, I don't know but would like to know what that something is. I don’t want to disconnect it if it has a use and would prefer it not to jus dangle there if it goes to something. Any ideas?
  24. Ok so i jus got done installing my cup holders using this write-up: http://forums.nicoclub.com/zerothread/311306 So my fit and finish ain't that great, but atleast I tried. Will post more pics when i wire them in.
