Good call man. I bought mine without really looking at it. Turns out it's alot more work needed than I thought. All rust repair. Runs mint. I'm a sucker for a good running truck lol
-
It's Like a tease lol I want to see how it was built and attached haha
-
I guess I missed it. Pic?

All these custom. Or aftermarket front bumpers.. nobody seems to have a custom rear bumper? other than that very nice looking r50s everybody! I wish mine looked half as good as any of these haha

Don't want to hijack this thread.. but that recall still aplies? Do they ever "run out" or have a time limit on those recalls? also nice looking buggy for cheap. Like hawairish said. I would have already bought that thing lol

So many double posts. I'm on my phone with not so good service so it keeps posting twice.

I have a really good understanding of suspension geometry. That's why I was confused. But like I said I didn't really get a good look at it just saw a 4 link setup. At first I didn't even question the PHB but after thinking about it I was curious why it was there. Then I looked at some images of the stock setup and while it is triangulated. There is little angle on those top bars. And now it makes sense lol

First off love this build. Looks great. I just picked up a r50 yesterday. It is really beat up. But should be fine for a weekend buggy. It runs really well but you would never guess by looking at it lol. I live about 30 minutes south of that b52 crash site. I've never even been lol. But I did see the engine from that plane is at the local snowmobile club it's displayed in their front lawn. I briefly looked at the rear suspension setup on my r50 (its a 99) but I thought I saw a triangulated 4link setup. Why is there even a PHB if it's triangulated? This makes no sense to me. Has anyone tried running without it and see how much the axle moves side to side?

Well as ekupathy said. I do have H233A so a locker that will fit into H233B will still work right?
-
Thank you guys for the info. I was looking into getting a locker Locker but it says that it will only fit in an open diff carrier. I know I have limited slip. So I guess that one is out of the question. But I also found another one that says that it will only fit into H233B axle. I just wanted to be sure. Other Locker

How can I tell what rear axle I have. I searched but came up with nothing.
-
Well I cant seem get to that switch. I have been trying, but no luck so far. I think I am just gonna run some new wires and a toggle switch for it, attached to the shift lever for easy access. Thank you guys for being willing to help.

thank you guys for the replies. when i get some time to go work on the pathy again ill let you guys know what i find out. is there anybody who might have a picture of which switch i am trying to locate.. and should i come down from the top.. like take the little console out and go that way. or come up from the bottom

I have had this issue with my reverse lights since i got my pathy. when i first got it the reverse lights worked. then about a week later they started to only work right when i put it in reverse and when i take it out. but now they just dont work at all. not even a flicker. o and its a 88 xe 5 speed 3.0
