well I found a 2001 xe with 5sp in better condition going to have a look at it this weekend. not as loaded but maybe that's ok too,

Well no open recalls and the shock towers are good. Just the rust in the rear wells goes into where the back doors are Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

well some of the rust bubbles are about where the flares are so it will need to have some cosmetic cleanup done to it for sure and where the flares screw into the wheel well there is rust there so some form of repair needed for that too.....

i see it is quite the process that bulletin is from the states canada must have a equivalent bulletin i imagine.

i guess bring a screw driver and poke it...

i looked in the engine bay at the shock towers they looked ok to me...or do i check them from inside the wheel well?

isn't there a recall on those?

i appreciate all your help i know this is going to be my project vehicle just hate seeing the rust ....and all the little things not working but thats what this is about learning and reading and asking questions of you pathfinder owners and getting help.

por15 the best way to treat the rust?

and the rust is a common item under the fender flares just remove them and treat them as best as possible.....

Has rust under the rear flares and one of the front flares drivers side. Also rear windows go down but not up with the switch. Have to use drivers switch. Rear hatch won't unlock unless you use the key in the door. Has the dial 4x4 system is this any good? Are these all fixable issues? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
