  1. nice!! So..... what does the rig actually look like though?!!! lol congrats.
  2. I have a 95 path and just got the factory harness hook up. (buddy works at the dealership). Anyway, all I got was the connectors that run to the back of the tail lamps. Okay, no biggie. First of all I received two of them, one of the "harnesses" is color coded and matches (both r and l sides are the damn same) and the other harness has yellow wires and such. The one that is color coded correctly has three wires that to be spliced to a trailer connector. the other has two. I received no diagrams or anything else but these two harnesses with extremely long leads (good thing). Any help would be appreciated. OH and btw I couldn't get anyone to tell me what comes from where and goes to what...blah blah..... at the dealership. So my question is.....out of the two harnesses, which side goes where and what are they hooked to on the connector. BtW it's raining like hell so going outside with a test light and troubleshooting is out for now! thanks
  3. I need to bypass my stock amps after installling my new stereo. I don't want to rewire the entire truck so if anyone has had experience in this department before your insight would be much help. thanks.
  4. I am currently in the middle of installing a new cd player in the rig and just came across something I haven't seen before. The connector for the antenna is a two plug design. I haven't even checked on an adapter for the standard one holer but I am closer to the pc than to crutchfield so what have you folks done with this??? Thanks.
  5. If your missing lugs happen to be directly opposite then you won't really have any problems for a while as long as you take it easy. As far as balance goes; you won't really notice it being that they nuts are very close to the center of the rotational force. Putting new studs in is quite easy if you have an impact gun, a big hammer, a lug nut that is of no other use than a tool, and a block of wood to use as a base for the rotor (it absorbs the vibrations better and helps to prevent cracking of the rotor due to impacts. hth good luck.
  6. not too shabby! I love it when the simple ideas make things easier and convienent.
  7. I am still holding out for CAMO!!! lol ( I would like two of the white please)
  8. where did you find the 3pack of solenoids for $150?! I was qouted SUBSTANTIALLY more at a dealership. Johnathan...... you go boy!! There is no way in hell I would be able to go anywhere without reverse. Much less a year and change.
  9. congrats man. It's always good to -actually- do something with parts that will be put on maybe next weekend! lol
  10. Well, I guess if we can't get camo lol I would like 2 white please!
  11. I would love two in camo if you could get em. How much are we looking at? I wasn't around for the first 'round'? Are the black stickers just reversed from the white ones?
  12. I am planning on a precision power welder. I have about 650 watts of lighting along with the stereo and a 1000w inverter. So I need the juice. Thanks for all the ideas and suggestions. Nice pics btw.
  13. Sweet. Would love to see your setup. Which brings me to another question; what induction setup do you have??
  14. I am looking to add another battery to the system. question 1. should I get the high amp alt. first? 2. what battery kit have any of guys used? 3. of you guys that have a dual battery setup, where did you find to put the second battery. I have yet to decided what location would be the most out of the way. Since I am using optima's I was also thinking somewhere underneath the body............ decisions decisions. thanks
  15. Lowrider, sounds like one of those twilight episodes when you hope to heavens you were drunk and dreamed it all......... till you walk outside the "next day" Sorry about the rough experience but told well.
  16. White exterior with an awkward blue interior. I have always loved a neutral interior color like grey or something. But the blue is growing on me.
  17. Unless you are hearing grinding of the gears. The tranny's are NOT bad. Just the pressure solenoids getting old and stuck. this is a common problem with almost every pathfinder to 96 with autos. There is no point in spending two to ten times as much for a used trans that is eventually going to have the same problem. Replace the shifting solenoids and you will do a trans flush at the same time. Anyone who can read instructions and has a bit of technical skill can do this in your driveway. Trust me, dropping the tranny pan and working is NOT as intimidating as most of us make it. Ofcourse now you are at the perfect place for a trans cooler too!!! hth
  18. I need to replace the shift solenoids in my 95 xe (auto) but the dealerships are not able to even understand what the hell I am talking about. I have heard that there are four of them that can be replaced without removing the valvebody. Can anyone help me out with the part numbers perhaps or a better description for the parts guys or whatever. SYMPTOM: Reverse does not work but it is the solenoid that is stuck. I would like to replace all four while I have it open. BTW I have heard that total cost for these solenoids should be around or under $120. thanks for the help.
  19. 'preciate the words of wisdom. If I went ahead with the ol bar crank and coil lift, would the suspension stand up to some abuse or would it be short lived. Like I said, I don't want to beat the hell out of the truck but I do intend to use it and I am the type to do things right the first time so I don't have to go back and "fix the fixes" if you know what I mean. Thanks again.
  20. Hey guys. I am curious as to what the opinions are for lifting "the rig". 1995 xe, I am looking for a 3" suspension lift. Would like the best lift and why and the cheapest (guessing torsion bar adjustment and such) and why. I don't really plan on beating the hell out of it, however, I will be using it if you know what I mean. Also I am looking for a prerunner style front bumper/guard to which I can mount some aux lights (again need insight on both). If you know who makes a bumper in this style. Any other ideas would be appreciated. WHAT'S THE BEST MOD YOU'VE MADE TO YOUR "RIG"??? BTW what size tires can I run on a three inch suspension lift with a 15x8.5 wheel? thanks again.
  21. Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Adam. From grottoes va. I have always owned and driven 4x's. However they were mainly for the snow and hauling wood on my land. I just acquired a 1995 xe that's in pretty darn good shape and IMMEDIATELY the bug chomped on me to modify it. I just moved back from greenville sc. so I need advise on things that I can do myself and/or modify due to lack of fundage. As for me. I am an asphalt surfer so to speak. I ride high end street bikes and drive muscle cars (67 camaro rs 418hp, my daily is a modified 88 monte carlo SS). I am a firearms enthusiast and general out doors lover. I just graduated from Nascar Technical Institute in mooresville nc. Good education if you look for it. Anyway, a long hello. I have named the pathfinder "The Rig"
