Hey bud, glad everyone is ok! Lucky your wife was driving and not you i kid i kid. Hope you get better soon and I send my love to your pathy! They are a tough truck... I slid into a ditch in a Quebec winter storm...Lucky my gf and I had our seatbelts on...was quite the spinner. Hit some nasty Ice and slammed in to some nice fluffy snow thank god... no damage done...I was just a little stuck hehe...nothing some ropes and hooks cant fix Anyhow I rambled on again! Get better and get driving.. Jason

I think im almost definite of keeping the white truck as my own to drive and selling the blue one and using the money I make from it to fix whatever needs fixing on the white one...seems like the better idea to me anyhow. But before I buy it to use im going to get it inspected...if its mechanically a peice of @!*%...welcome to the parts job for my blue pathy Anyhow let me know what you guys think Jason

so swaping electric mirrors and electric windows is not going to be an easy task i see...speacialy since the panel is ment for a manual role down... What to do! what to do!
-
Well the white truck was originaly just like yours but it was rust proofed and repainted 4 years ago... So it was well taken care of...some new cons to the 92 -Missing half the exhaust -High Beams dont work -No electric windows -No electric mirrors -Battery Dead -Possible axcle crack in rear -No stereo(no cd player or speakers) Pros: -Engine runs nice with only 203 000, rebuilt at 175 000 -Step Bar -Roof Rack -Fender Flares -Front windshield Viser -Tinted windows -New Tranny and Clutch -4 winter tires and rims and 5 all seasons with rims Now a couple a questions? -Is there such thing as dash paint...my dad was talking about it... to paint over the dash material? -How much do you think I could get for my 91 pathy? I put about 3000$ repairs...new brakes...new power steering hoses, new gas line, battery, fixed all wiring, full tune up, 240 000 km, engine doesnt burn oil and its super quiet.... -Is there a way to install my electric windows from my 91 to my 92? Is it worth it? How much do you guys think it will cost?A -Would the electric mirrors be easy to install aswell? Anyhow sorry for all the questions but im going through a tough time letting go of the 91 since its 100% mechanicaly running but the body is brutal Let me know what you all think Jason

Alright, well to those who read my comment earlier about the 92 pathfinder... I have some questions like usual lol First of all the 92 pathy im getting has a rebuilt engine, the body is almost in mint but the brakes are gone and the interior is a very ugly red.... It also had front visor..with lights, roof rack, fender flares...and step bars... Now... my 91 pathy has brand new brakes... no addons and its rusted to @!*%... With that being said a list of quetions... Would it be costly to remove the following parts from my 91 to place in the 92.... The brakes, brake line, gas line, power steering lines, spark plugs...? Also would it be hard to put my blue interior from my 91 into the 92? As in the seats/dash/middle peice between the 2 front seats...etc...basically remove the inside of the 92 and put my 91 inside there?? Steering whell included... Let me know what you guys think... Visit the image gallery on www.pathfinderxbuild.com to compare the 2 trucks Thanks Jason

Hey guys, as most of you know I bought a 91 pathy...and am currently fixing it up. Not to long ago I got an offer to buy a 92 pathy for 300$ CAD...only thing not working are the brakes. I plan on buying this 92 to strip it apart and use it as a peices truck. Would that work out...any bif diff from the 2? Could I use doors/panels from the 92 for my 91? Only reason I dont want to drive the 92 is because the brakes are all gone, engine is noisy, and other mechanical issues... but theres alot of parts I can score off it such as... -Fender Flares -Roof Rack -Front shovel (like a sun deflector of front windshield) -Glove box -Windshield whipper motors (front +back) -Lights - Fenders -Door Panels -Windoes -Trimming around windows -Tires +rims...90% thread -Dash..all -Front bushwacking grill -Bumpers -Altenator -Exhaust peices -Skid Plates -Side step bars -Engine -and much much more goodies! Basically my question is...is it worth it and can it be done? Thanks Jason

Hey bud I think i might know why basically your whole trunk is not working... found the problem myself not long ago. Underneath the carper of your front seat you have 2 metal plates and all wires running ontop.... What happened to me is the 2 plates moved/shifted a bit leaving a sharp edge which split 30 wires... when i fixed this all the wires where fixed and i got my locks working, back trunk unlock, winshield whipper...was dead so i replaced the motor myself for 90$ at a junkyard and I got my rear electric locks working..also the back defroster worked!!! ill take pics if ya want. as for the cowgrills You can get em off ebay for 7$...the vents infron of winshield whipper. Also ill be taking apart a 92 pathy i just bought for parts so maybe i can send some your way. Your compressor for the AC...well im in refrigeration school so i can tell ya couple things...1 its lacking freon 2...a pipe is pinched.3 theres moisture in the systeme....So id suggest bringing it in. Also for your engine...do like i did... change all the valve plates and gaskets... now my engined runs beautifully and it compresses like new!!! what happened is your gaskests probably dried up and cracked which now allows air into the engine and wont compress properly Anyhow my 2 sense Let me know Jason

Ya I do a @!*%load of welding at school... with all kinds so i think im good on that aspect...just not sure which one to buy
-
Hey guys doing some repairs on my truck want to know what you guys recommend.... Heres my choice for torches....For welding... not sure what you recommend... cheap if possible Torch Choices Grinders Grinders....angle grinder I was thinking of getting the master craft one on sale for 20$ What other tools should I be looking at as far as body work... I got sheet metal...fiberglass cloth...putty, scrapers....primer. If I rip out all my carpet and redo all the bottom by applying sheet metal what kind of welding do you recomend and what material? Also what would you recommend to cover all the spots I ripped out? like a paint of some sort or primer...make sure doesnt rust again...
-
Best way to approach this....

Ya I can weld do its not to bad...ill most likely do the interior myself and get a pro to fix the outside up... -

Hey guys my rocker panels are pretty much rusted through... any suggestions on how to hack at this? Or is it best to bring to a body shop. I heard is very expensive to bring to a body shop to fix this particular part. The guy that owned the truck before sprayed foam-on-foam all over the damn thing  hardly a temporary fix at all... all it did was make it messy and help keep humidity and condesation inside the rust...gahh... Also i got some floor boards to replace...any suggestions on that? Thanks Jason
-
Alright well today I had to go to the last place I wanted to be to buy a part....the dealership buahaha lol :help: Anyhow On the back of my winshield whipper between the trunk and the whipper arm theres a rubber sealent...I called everywhere to find it and no one had it...my peice had dried up and cracked due to it being 15 years old lolIt fell off basically when i was replacing the back windshield whipper motor. Anyhow back to the story... it ended up costing me 29.37$ for that stupid little peice...it came with the bolt and a washer...useless to me... But really 30$ for a stupid little rubber peice. ANyhow my point is does anyone know some good canadian shops that can supply me with aftermarket parts...like doorpanels, fenders, bumpers, lights etc... or some cheap american places close to the canadian border so shipping isnt killer. Thanks Jason

Well I have manual...so i guess under 45km?
-
If I rip out all the carpet in my truck to replace with new stuff what kind of insulation do you guys recomend?
-
Hey guys... looking for a cheap method of replacing my trunk carpet... dont want carped again...prefer something easy to clean... any Ideas?? if so how would i go about removing the carpet since its attached to the back seats and how would i install this new material?
-
