Replace your engine gaskets, I just went through the same thing in a post not long ago

All that rust is going to be fixed up... The whole rad support is being replaced... Flooring is going to be new. Like I said its being overhauled. -I just want to get a nice push bar that works well when offroading...not one that will reck me in an accident lol

Looking around now and I saw other lights im interested in... HID seem to be very expensive... but if you guys dont mind to those who are bored and really dont mind taking a look.... Alright guys thats for all the help! Im not rebuilding it to say its mine... let me explain for the last time hopefully Cost on truck: $650.00cdn Owner before me put in -New windshield -New Clutch -New Transmission -New altenaor My repairs initialy when bought -New brake line -New gas line -Full tune up Repairs done later on... -New power steering lines -New battery -ECU computer -02 sensor -Speed-o-meter -Change engine gasket I then bought a 92 pathy for parts at 300$ -Took the speed-o-meter -Took the o2 sensor and whole airfilet peice -Used the ECU Saved me a bit over 1000$ -This truck also came with side bars, roof rack, seats im going to use and a @!*%load of spare parts in general. Also came with 5 brand new summer tires + 5 brand new winter tires with rims. Right now all that bills out to about 3000$ total... a bit less After all that I spent 3000$ for the following -New fenders -New inner fenders...skids for all four wheel wells -New rocker panels -New flooring -New rad support -New corner lights -New bumpers front and back -Remove all rust -Install roof rack+side bars+front grill -Put custom ZRC primer on everything... -Install light bar and wire it -Sandblast my whole frame and paint with special anti-rust primer=ZRC then put a black coat In total I have a bit under 6000$ and im getting basically a new pathfinder. Ive always been a big fan of the secound series pathy body so I saved up my money. When I first started I had a budget of 5000$ so I took all that money and em building a brand new pathy basically at this point. Then when summer comes I will add offroad mods to it. Also you must understand I live in Quebec and the roads/salt eat away any car here. By doing all this I will have a brand new truck that I can oil spray etc... keep it mint. My plan is to bring it to my auto body shop 1-2 times a year and get everything looked and fixed so I dont get progressive rust. Now if this doesnt explain why im doing all this shoot me please hehe im kidding I know I tend to be very vague! And I appreciate all the help im receiving on the forums. Thanks Jay P.S. Hmm for the light bar what kind of rack did you buy... can you give me references? For the pushbar I found one on a 88 2dr pathy hehe... i wanted the truck to for a toy but it was finished. Any idea where to get carpet? Thanks dsm Jay

Well im a bit tight on cash due to this... So im looking to mod my truck properly... decent raising kit. Need nice flooring....not sure where I can get new carpet...or other recommendations Basically not to pricey... but I need a lightbar asap

hehe no my 91 blue pathfinder is getting rebuilt... this is my 92 pathy u see in the pics. Im just ripping peices off it... everything is a spare now lmao. And only new peice i took a pic of I beleive is the Rad support.... Getting more pics in tomorrow and all week. Im still driving my blue truck... it goes in tomorrow

Yup the way I see it to find a good pathy like the 91 I got around here runs at about 5000 or more. They are all almost automatic... not my style. I found this one for 650$ and fixed her up. Spending 5000-6000$ total on a brand new truck basically hehe not to bad. What websites can I order good lift kit at? and is it hard to do yourself? Also what other replacements of carpet do you recommend? Sorry for all the questions but I want it perfect

Hey guys I got some questions while im proceeding with this project 1) Where can I obtain rhino liner or something similar to do my flooring? 2) Where can I get a good light bar and which lights should i use? 3) If I wanted to raise my truck 3inch what would I need for suspension etc... for everything to get it to good performance with 3 inch left... Offraod suspension etc... and where could I get it? 4) What kind of pushgrill do you guys recomend? 5) Im redoing the floor, should i replace with steal platting... should I add shields under the truck to protect certain parts? I got a rust splash shield im changing... Going to take lots of pics tomorrow Ok now just a general question... what are the biggest set of tires I can put on a stock pathy without any adjustements? and also what size tire should I get if im doing the lift? Any brandname that should be better then others? With all of you having alot more experience in modding your trucks...what would you do to improve the performance... adding parts... making it safer/more durable. This is my first car and I want it to last for a long time... been saving up for 4 years... since I was 14 for this truck Thanks Jason

Well I do tend to add offraoding mods etc... but I want to get rid of all rust and fix the complete body/frame before doing so. No point of adding offroad mods then your truck falls apart on the trail heeh. I want it 100% brand new and worthy of a new life

What do you mean by SAS? and its not costing alot really. Its 3000$ because i know the 2 brothers doing it for me. Theyve been doing autobody work since they where 17...they are now 54, and 55. SO lots of experience. I get a 3 year no rust gurantee with it. Pimp my ride is just pretting up a car.... overhaul is stripping it to bear nothing and rebuilding it in a way as if it just came our of the manufacturer. So we will see when its done but overall i see it as a good investment...since it is running 100% mechanically and i only paid 650$ for the truck initialy then 2000$ mechanic repais... thats 2650cdn for a fully running truck with the majority of the parts new due to previous owner. Then 3000 for the paint job and restoration... thats 5650$ for a brand new pathfinder with 0 rust... wont find that in quebec. Also have a spare engine and a truck full of spare parts if anything happens

See the thing about my truck is that im not fixing the rust... im completely replacing the panels. Fenders are all coming out... the inner fenders/fireguard/gap plats... inner skirts dunno what to call em anymore lmao are all coming in brand new now... I bought them all for front and back. I got custom rocker panels made, got new front fenders, new front and back bumpers, my frame is being sand blasted and reconditioned. My flooring is going to be steel with ZRC coat ontop of it.... My truck is not being fixed, its being overhauled like that show. I rebuilt my engine with my friend thats a mechanic. I sanded all the rust in the engine pay and used heat resistent spraypaint to fix it all. Everything is coming along nicely I want to install rhino matt instead of carpet but i cant seem to find out where I can get my hands on it or something similar...

those are the inner fenders.... im talking about the inner skirt for wheel well made out of metal

Does anyone know where i can get the inner skid plates... in the wheel wells. Some call them inner fenders others inner assy and some inner wheel well. Mine are rusted out and I cant seem to find anywhere. Need em for all wheel wells, front and back Thanks Jason

well after a long winter spring is finally here and project X build is well on its way! I got a bunch of images of the things im going to be doing at the auto body shop take a look if your interested. Day 1

Flooring is completely being removed... Seats i think im re-upolstering them I need to change the flooring from carpet to something else but need something easy to inststall. - AC well im in refrigeration just not for cars, but im sure i can figure it out New questions.. whats the best way to wire up the lights on my roof... light bar with 4 round offroad lights Thanks Jason P.S. the switches for the lights are where the astray used to be

Well guys its been awhile since Ive updated the site but a rebuild is now taking place and ill be adding new pictures everyday for a month. My 91 pathfinder is being rebuilt at a place called "Carosserie Canada". For those who dont speak french that means a auto body shop Anyhow ive gotten everything pretty much new... -New front right and left fenders -Back and front bumper -New corner lamps -New lock cylinders -Reconditioned hood -Reconditioned front driver and passenger doors -Custom rocker panels -Custom inner fenders for front and back -New Rad Support Now some things im researching and need help with are -Finding a new flooring -Safety features -Best option about seating since I have 'like' new seats in the 92 pathy that i can re-upolstered black Some questions to some aswell if you could reply in my forums -What material should I use when replacing floor plates... all rusted out - What type of primer would be best used -Whats the best paint to paint on the inner panels... trunk, arm rest, dash etc... -Replacing my blower fan -Installing AC Let me know Jason Take part in the discussion by clicking here ...
