  1. I run no sway bars and like it better, the rear sway bar on an r50 is worthless. On a wd the sway bar is like 3 times thicker then the r50. YOu'll have to remove the rear on the sfd. I go around corners and @!*% all the time on 3 tires and its not a big deal. The rear has so much travel that usually just the front tire will come off. No biggie.

  2. what the fskc? why cant you guys just get along. ID rather spend 50-60k on the FX50 then like 90k or whatever for an X5. (something similar in class) I think Mr. Silvapathy was making a joke with fueler. Because he lives in the same city as his parents.

  3. k, i dont know what to do with my car situation. Which is why i came to the fellow board members. I always suck at making decisions like this. I want something with a solid axle for sure.

    So

Should i buy this 99 jeep grand cherokee limited with the 4.7 v8? It has a custom 4" long arm front and rear with 285/75/16 toyo MTs Nice interior, heated seats SICK system etc.. he wants $5k for it.

Buy this 03 toyota 4runner. Ive always had a thing for the 4th gen 4runners and i found a black with tan interior for $8,600 with the 4.7 v8

Keep my r50 and deal with being ifs forever or try and sas it. But the r50s size has always bugged me. The jeep and 4runner are wider inside and longer.

  4. if i wanted something that everyone else has id go buy a new JK, if i wanted something unique, ill stick with my r50. Whats the point of going to a dealer and buying an off the lot car that will do whatever you want it to for 40k when you could buy an r50 and do what you want to do it and see you build it over time and have a ton of fun.

  5. For reference.... The factory camber should be between 0 degrees and 1.0 degrees positive or negative. more then that and its not good. You could even adjust it yourself. I do it all the time and my tires wear even. I still haven't gotten an alignment since i put my lift on and it wears even and drive straight.

But if the camber is unadjustable why would they even have it in there computer?
  6. like i said in my message, the shop should know what the factory camber spec is. You dont go to an alignment shop with measurements telling them what you want unless its specific. All you need is the toe adjusted and the camber to factory specs. The shop should have this in their alignment computer.

Well I just thought of something. When the pathy comes from the factory camber is not adjustable. However, when the lift is installed the camber angle is changed and the bolts allow for the camber to be set back to the factory setting. My question is what is the factory camber?
  7. What dean said ive had that happen a lot on my x but never on my older r50. On my new r50 i didnt use the black studs because really i think theres no point. I had just as much thread as the pic you showed andres for the washer and nut. The studs provided with the warns are for the xterras and older pathys and stuff like that where they dont have studs and drive flanges like the r50.

i kept the black studs in my toolbox just incase one ever snaps out on the trail or whatever. its nice to have spares and stuff like that.

  8. Yeah the tx10 tcase will both up to the VH45DEs RE4R03A auto trans. You just need a custom output shaft and the adapter plate to go from the back of the automatic to the front of the tcase. Ive got a RE4R03A v8 4x4 trans with the tx10 sitting in my garage lol.

That and the vh45 was going to go into my x, but then i didnt swap it and it all just sat, i sold the engines but still have that tranny, then i bought a VQ pathy a while after which has more then enough power so i dont even care anymore lol.
