ok my headlights on my ranger are not the brightest. so i figured id use that as an excuse to buy some new stuff. now there are so many different types of headlights out there. my question is whats the difference between normal headlights and euros and projector lights and halos etc

im just saying that alot of the skills ive used in biking i use in less than ideal weather driving

another thing that translates to bikes. allways allways brake in a straight line. when your going through the corner you want 100% traction devoted to keeping the tires in incontrol and on the road/ trail. for instance, one of our downhill race courses had a pretty long offcamber section on it. alot of the beginners would get spooked and hit the brakes halfway through and they would just slide all the way to the bottom of the ravine and lose the race. whereas people with more skill were entering it alot slower so they didnt have to use the brakes and devote 100% of there tires traction to staying on line.

this is an area ive found my downhill experience comes into good use. with us when riding through mud we have tires with big fat knobs to keep you on top. same with snow. once you sink in you lose traction/momentum and both of those are bad on a bike.

well i got a race on the 11th i have to go to. im allready missing one this weekend. it mostly cuts and stuff. luckily the dec 11th race is a trail i helped build and know like the bac kof my hand and have ridden 3-4 times a week for the past year and a half

well heres some pics 6 days after. its healing super fast, as you can see the right one is healing faster for some reason. wich is crazy because it is waay bigger and that dark spot on it is where it was down to the bone. no more memory loss problems anymore either. im still waiting another 2 or 3 weeks till i get back on my bike though both knees right knee left knee

haha thanks man. i understand the friendly ribbing. and you guys gotta remember. this things gonna have 1-8 downhill bikes in the back of it 3-4 times a week. so i think the beds gonna be used. its gonna be so nice not having to hike up the trails because we dont have enough trucks to get to the top.

in the situation i was in a moto helmet wouldnt have done any more good. that helmets a troy lee designs D2. its the best helmet you can get without going full on moto. its not a comon injury but most riders have had one or two of them. its just part of the sport. its just like anything else. how much are you willing to risk to do the thing you love?

haha yeah i know. it was jsut to good of a deal to pass up. he jsut got the tranny brakes and tires replaced last week. and hes one of my riding buddies so i know the condition of the truck.

well i got a new car. i hope you all will forgive me its a ranger. but its more practical for my purposes. i was tearing the crap out of the ceiling of my pathy putting bikes in it. the nice thing. it comes with a downhill bike for free. its got a 4liter v6 and 4wd. plus a cd player and all the bells and whistles. i think im gonna keep her stock right now. got it off my buddy for 7800 including the 3000 dollar bike.i hope yall dont mind me sticking around here for a lil while even though im not an official pathy dude anymore. ok pic!

whats the difference between the qx4 and the top of the line pathfinder le? other than the grill? i mean my le was pretty friggin nice

well my helmets totalled(im good at doing that to things) and the bikes about as good as it can be fore taking a tumble at 20mph. jsut a few scratches on the bars and brake levers. and wheel go wheeling when i get my :o ranger :o (it comes with a free dh bike) . and this ones 4 wheel drive too. with a 4 liter v6.

well as you can see the clothes i was wearing werent very friendly for armor. it was as a joke and i actually raced one class below normal so that i wouldnt have to push. but i was wearing uppers. it would have been alot worseif i didnt have the uppers

yeah im doing good. so not looking forward to changing my bandages though

yeah i dont like the losing whole hours of my memory at a time. thats not good. i was pissed too because i just passed the guy who started in front of me(30 sec in front) and then i ate crap. then after i knew i could ride i gave the next guy about 15 seconds and pinned it and passed him too. that was before the pain set in.

so i had a race this weekend and was having the run of my life till i fell and demolished myself.im okay now. pretty much i got a decent concussion, destroyed both knees with abrasions, and fractured my toe. aparently i was pretty bad for a while there at the race as far as not knowing people and @!*%. i nearly passed out once in urgent care and again in the ER. im ok now im all bandaged up and moving around isnt very apealing to me. also im having some memory loss. the doctor said that would last about a week so be patient with me. heres a pic of my race garb from today

i just found an 01 xterra with 60k miles on it for 7900 :o im gonna check that next

well they totalled it because of the airbags deploying. so there going to give me between 8 and 9 k to get a new car. what shall i get!?!?! iim not sure if i want another pathy because i think haviung a truck would be a bigger advantage to me
