  1. I just built a bumper for my rig. The factory POS brackets went in the garbage!!!! What the hell are those supposed to do? Might as well have no bumper at all! I understand the whole aborbing the impact theory... but wholly crap! those things are nothing but decoration. I made new 1/4" ones and welded them to the frame. I cut some holes in them so they would crush under impact...(from a car, not a shopping cart!) I'm eventually going to put on a winch, so I had to at least make something that wouldn't tear off the front end. Anyways... good luck with you project man! I would deffinitely consider running it by a good welder though. tinfoil bumpers aren't good! Take Care, Clay
  2. -They're small - lightweight w/ a V6 -Bulletproof engines/tranny/xfer case/diffs -6" full tube frame not C-channel -Ladder bar suspension -the IFS has a very narrow center and lots of travel -wheel base - take off and come down angle. -Mine has manual hubs which I like - I've got brand new Mile Markers on the way!!! YAY! Let's face it if you don't drive a pathy you're just an uncool mental patient! LOL! Clay
  3. Actually I'll be doing a set-up lickitty split for my pathy here.... I use the rear bumper for an air tank and use an el-cheapo compressor. I'll take some pics after I get it built. Cheaper pumps are lower Amperage(good) which also equals lower cfm(bad)... but if you only have to maintain pressure in a tank... you have a large built up supply to handle the big initial hit - i.e re-inflating a tire pushed off it's rim. And, You can always top your tank up at the shop.... don't have to make the little guy do it all. Clay
  4. Right on!!!! Icelanders!... They're all friggin Crazy! BTW Clayton Goodman = Clayton Claytonson Goodmundson
  5. Great! Thankyou! I was kinda suspicious about that fill plug in the side of the tranny - it is really low. I'll put'er up on my ramps. I'm a big amsoil fan as well.... I throw in a little Lucas, it seems to really work well and keep the seals intact. Thanks for the info guys! Next time I'll check the search first... forget sometime's though. Clayman
  6. I'm Lacking an owners manual and the local Nissan dealerships sucks! ... The service dept. does anyways. Could someone please tell me the oil weights for the tranny Manual 5 speed and the diffs ? Thankyou in advance! Clay
