I have a '95 SE 4x4 with A/T Overdrive, Offroad Package, LSD, 31" tires, also leather interior and the switch that lets me shift like triptronic. I think the offroad pkg includes LSD. Never owned an EX to compare.

I found a sight RJS superchargers.com and that looks like an easy way to gain 5LBS of boost or more. Has anybody tried one of those? Looks like something that can fit under the hood. There is a pic of the 2006 240SX kit displayed, I'm going to email and see if I can find out more.

My Nephew has a Dodge Ram Pickup truck. He is running headers to a Magnaflow High Flow Cat, straight through to a long pipe to the back, as in NO MUFFLER. I think it sounds good and is very responsive above & beyond S-T-O-C-K. I did think about a "TEST PIPE", I wrote that idea off because it seemed like cheating. I never thought of omitting the Muffler. His V8 is not overly loud, He has had this setup for about 8 years. His truck isn't raising any POLICE EYEBROWS. Anybody tried that?

I just have to see about maybe the VG30ET--Single Turbo SOHC.. It looks promising. Could that set in my '95 SE? I understand why the Twin Turbo may be a big project. Anybody have a single turbo VG30ET in thier Pathfinder?

It sounds a lot like wheel hop, the same thing happends on the drag strip when a dragster lights up the tires. It feel like an earthquake in the car because the wheel is hopping on the track. I can do that in the snow as well in 2WD. To reduce or get rid of the rumble I modulate the throttle a bit.

When I start adding up mods, it's easy to come up with over $1000! So how about dropping the 300ZX TT engine in the WD21 Pathfinder? I know that in the eighties Car and Driver did an article on a VW Vanagon with a 911 motor installed, Porsche used it for road test carrying tools and mechanics to chace 911's that were being wrung out on the Autobahn. I think it sounds cool to have a "PATHZILLA" out there running a TWIN TURBO! Does it bolt up to an '95 SE with an automatic? I think it might require a better Torque Converter and a bit of ECU work.

That makes a lot of sense! I am staying with stock!

My '95 SE has the factory off road package, I have the 31" tires and have been running them at 26psi (Cold). I went to one of those oil change places and they filled up my tires up to 40psi. I drove around a bit to see what it felt like, Fred Flintstones car with the stone wheels. I pulled out the owners manual, read the tag in the door, and had them deflate the tire to recommended 26psi COLD the next day. At the shop nobody knew what DECOUPLING in a Raidial tire is. I only had to drive about 5 miles to get to the place so the tires didn't get a chance to heat up. It was free so I didn't have to pay 75cents to run around and try get my pressure corrected before the air compressure stops at the gas station! For the street, just normal driving conditions, what pressure yields the best results? Radial Tires role best a proper air presure, I'm looking for the best contact patch. I don't want to OVERINFLATE or UNDERINFLATE. I do know that a loaded vehicle may need more pressure. The correct tire PSI is one of the most important factors on MPH, and handling. It feels ok now, these tires have a lot of tread I want them last. --15" stock rims, DUNLOP RV RADIAL ROVER 31 x 10.5. I was surprised that any shop guy would try to put in so much air over the factory spec. To people who used to, or who are currently running 31's, what works best? I have been the owner for about 3000 miles (since December '08) and I so far don't notice any uneven wear. The previous owner just got them before selling it to me. He said he ran it at 26psi as well.

I was looking around and only found one AIR FLOW METER upgrade for the '95 Pathfinder-- "PYTHON AIR MASS METER". Is that a worthwile upgrade? I already have a cold air intake.

I Found my '95 SE on EBAY and won it for $720! I just needed a car and not the payments. It just said "4WD Pathfinder-Fully Functional- NO RESERVE. I had the $$, I just had to go get it, in Boston. I'm in Michigan, so I used some Frequent Flyer miles and had to pay $5 tax. When I touched down in Boston I had to pay 2$ more for a train ride and transferd once. I had Proof of insurace already, and I walked about 5 blocks from the train station to the sellers office. I had a copy of the title and did my own walk around and it did have some body rust just starting. Turns out that the seller had maintained it very well under the hood. I took it for a drive, and I dug it!. New Tires, clean inside, sun roof. Just a couple of quirks, passanger window can go down but not up from the drivers side and the Factory Fog lights didn't turn on, little things, but it ran and drove great! It had just under 150000 miles on it. He showed me all about how to engage the 4wd, and disengage the auto hubs. I had about 850miles to drive, the DMV in Mass didn't recognize Michigan Insurrance! They told me that they didn't have anything like a TEMPORARY PLATE, and that I had to get full MASS Insurrace and a MASS plate that could cost me a lot more $$$. After a little bit of thought I borrowed a Marker and made a sign,"Vehicle In Transit", taped it to the inside of my back window, I sat in the drivers seat and told her--"OK Little Sister, You Take CARE of me and I'll Take of YOU"-- And drove ALL the way home with all the paper work in the glove box. The Seller wished me well and called now and then to make sure I was OK, I just set the cruse at the SPEED LIMIT and tried not to attract attention,Toll Booth after Toll Booth and nobody said a thing! About 2:30am just outside Yongstown OHIO I pulled over and Crashed. A OHIO STATE TROOPER (who mostly go by the 3C's-Cash-Credit Card-or Come With ME-)Woke me up knockin' on my window asking "Where's You PLate BOY?", in the dark I rolled down the window and told him about those MEAN PEOPLE at Boston DMV, and showed him my paper work. He just looked at me and gave me his bosses number and said he wouldn't impound my Car. He said I could sit in the Rest Area for more than just the normal 2hrs allowed. It was just about 3am, I had almost 250miles to go. I called his boss and 1st thanked him for not putting me (a Michigan Man) in jail, and I told him the whole story. He gave me 3 options, call my wife, trailer it or tow it, or...it's about 3am,"Go FOR IT AND I'll DO MY BEST TO MAKE SURE YOU MAKE IT". I felt like I just won the lotto! I lit it up and down the road to the Michigan border I went. The last time I had a 4wd anything was back in '78. Since I got my Pathfinder I have been in some BIG snow just fighting traffic to get to work, last blizzard I was in I had 2wd on at 70mph in the UNPLOWED left lane just ripping around Dodge RAMs and Big Chevys Spining out trying to play Race Car with me. My '95 Pathfinder and me get along like Hot Butter on Popcorn! Best gamble I ever made, and She is PAID FOR! Total cost: $5 tax for the Frequent Flyer miles used, 2$ train Ride, and $720 for my Pathfinder! total Cost---$727.00--That's why I Love My 1995 Nissan Pathfinder SE with 4WD!-GOD BLESS THE OHIO STATE POLICE!

I think the only problem in CA would come if you added Headers into the mix, most of any extra Emissions Control is under the hood. As long as your O2 sensor is good, and all the other sensors are in working order you should be ok. I was just reading the Haynes Repair Manual for 1987 thru 1995 Pathfinders and they highlight all of the CA Emissions stuff. I don't think a better flowing Cat works any less, it just flows better.

I want to Install headers, new cat, and a stainless steel exhaust. Where are the Oxygen sensors located in a '95 Pathfinder SE? I have a Haynes Repair Manual, it just says there is only one in the exhaust manifold. I called the Dealership and they said there are Four O2 sensors. How many are there that I will have to deal with in the intall? This seems to be the Best Information source for the '95 Pathfinder SE (MPFI VG30E) A/T with Overdrive. Pictures would be cool of where they are. I hope I didn't misunderstand the Haynes Manual.

Oh Well, I just got my SE and as much I enjoy it her, I am on the road more than off. I have to vote SE, It's more than just a toy!

I was thinking it sounds like a great improvement adding a Throttle Body Spacer. They seem to help with the intake and will work well with my cold air intake. I can't find one anywhere. Is there anybody out there that has a TB on thier '95 Pathfinder?
