  1. So one for nunya... How many would are we talking? I could weigh them up and let you know...
  2. Are the folks having a good experience with the pan hard drop bracket... just about to make another batch and just wanted to get a report first! Anyone interested in one of these speak up! This will give me an idea how many to make... If I end up with a couple extras it is not big deal... just want to make sure I have enough. They will still be $50 U.S. plus the ride. With a coat of flat black..
  3. There have been a few folks do this with their sliders.. and growing up in Iowa we used to make a huge tube bumper and make it an air tank. In the end it ends up being a novelty more than something that is useful. A cheepo air tank stuffed under the rig somewhere usually works fairly well. http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B005J8UT0Y/ref=dp_olp_0?ie=UTF8&redirect=true&condition=all
  4. The biggest problem with the HB tank is where it is located... if a person moves the axle forward for a bed bob... the tank is in the way.
  5. First... a 94+ dash will be in the works. The whole dash is $100 at pull and save. Then will be the parking brake... then figure out how to make the harness work with the mish mosh of parts hanging from this pile.
  6. There are quite a few different models of this brake mechanism... the best for this mod is the unit that routes the cable under the carpet. The other units route the cable along the frame rail.. thus does not work well with the pathfinder cable system.
  7. 250 plus the gas to tow it there... So maybe make $50 bucks to tow it to the crusher. After the title is changed over to your name.. so a little more gas money...
  8. If the front diff looks like this.... don't do it.
  9. Adjusted the mounts on the hinges so the back bench seat would lean back a bit more. The initial click when folding back up is also in a more comfortable position.. Foreward position... ----------------------- Relaxed position...
  10. It will be nice to get this rig on the road... been in the driveway way too long.. the neighbors are starting to give me the longer look! I will be converting the e-brake to the under dash style. It is definitely nicer having the handle between the seats... however at the expense of cup holders.. boo! Covering more holes in the floor.. The aftermarket center console from my HB will be stuck between the seats.. it is in need of a serious bath.
  11. I think it has been a month... hockey... snow... work.. this needs to slow down. So all the snow is gone now... Time to get more silicon..
  12. Oh the waggy's work fine... Enjoy! There honestly isn't a perfect axle made for the Pathy. Trade-off's no matter which direction you go.. high pinion.. cheap..correct width.. front drive-shaft lined up.. locker availability.. ratio's.. it never ends! A Dana 44 is a good start.. being there are many locker/gear/shaft options out there at a reasonable price. I am going though this process with our Xterra... Being I have d44 parts laying all over it will probably end up with one. However we also have some 233b parts that could be used to make a custom front H233b axle from junkyard parts. Steevo has a sweet setup in the works too... hmm.. all the choices..
  13. There is nothing "wrong" with the waggy axle. The advantages to the Ford... 1/2 inch thick axle tubes.. not 1/4 inch Waggy axles have a camber problem.. If flat top knuckles are used it is almost to much to correct. (top of tires tipped towards center of truck) For some odd reason Waggy knuckles (outers) work on the Ford axle wonderfully (camber).. go figure. Ford axles are High Pinion... The short side of the Ford axle is a couple inches longer (differential towards center of axle).. Thus lining the pinion up with the front drive shaft better (if the axle is Waggy width 61in). The Ford does not have the "cast" leaf spring perch to work around when going with coils/coilovers.
  14. GrandpaX... The Logos will probably have a shorter GPX. Most of the folks got a "GPX" bottle opener with the bracket. I have been on the road for over a week... My hope is to get to the steel yard today for more 3/16 plate.
  15. yep.. it runs a custom axle shaft on the long side.. Ford -4.. using a waggy shaft makes the axle 63ish wide. These work well on Xterra's for an oem width.
  16. I ran 38's with an eliminator... no big deal. And honestly.. if a guy is going to run 37's should he be thinking about something like a NWF doubler anyway? Calmini no longer makes the tcase gears either. (Unless they can find 20 people to order them at the same time with probably a 6 month wait) The 3.92's are really just enough gearing with 5.38's in the axles (I wish mine were more like 5:1). Our 2.33's don't have 5.38's as an option with gearing... There may be some numerically higher ratios out there for the 233.. however 5.38 is as high as it goes for a front hp44 and hp60. To me... to go out and spend 3-4-500 on an SYE is crazy... that is a good chunk of doubler (or a complete powerplant conversion). Now if you are really wanting something of the sort... keep on Steevo's case.. I know he is looking at options.
  17. Just spent 3 awesome days at a hockey tournament.... I have a feeling this is going to dig into the fab time something fierce.
  18. Oh dude... 3-5 years is a long time to not point the plasma at a rig in this driveway... I may be buying a cheap 94 here next week... It will spend a few days in the driveway then off to the crusher. With no interior....
  19. OH dude... that stinks... So after looking at this site your screen must be all messed up... window licker...
  20. For some odd reason... all my local Nissan friends have a solid axle under their rig. I honestly have the most understanding wife on earth...
