  1. Ok Perthites, looking to head down to Dwellingup to have a look at the Captain Fawcett track, usually its pretty tame, but given the start of this winter, I'm thinking it will be a bit more interesting. Looking to head down there 1st weekend of August (Sunday 7th). Kids are more than welcome, I will have my 2 with me, byo lunch, camera & good attitude.

Let me know if your keen, looking to meet in Pinjara, then head down from there.

  2. I know someone in Australia had some aluminum ones made.

    B

That's me, have had 6 made so far, but I have access to trade cost material and a full CNC machine shop. I uses Ø50mm solid ali round bar, 4 of mine were 50mm (2") tall, 2 were only 30mm tall. If you can get aluminium, it would be preferable.

  3. Welcome mate, if you can afford the difference between the 2 diesels, I'd go with the QD32, so much more power than the TD. I'd kill for your diesel prices, currently here in Oz we are paying USD$1.48, and I easily burn 80L a week. Hope you enjoy your stay here at NPORA.

Diesel costs more over there?! :wtf: never though it would be possible...

Gasoline here is 30% more than Diesel.

Diesel here costs on average 10 cents per litre more than regular gas, hard to understand why.

  4. And about the headlight Washers. Those were never a option available for North America. Since I found out not that long ago I've been asking Aussies and Kiwi's to keep an eye out for a wrecked Terrano with the setup to steal/buy from and ship down here. I'm prompt with Paypal if you ever come across one. I'm very Jealous of you Turbo Diesel guys. North America got the Shaft for sure on our rigs. So many options were offered everywhere else but here.

Dowser, if I had known that you could have had mine, I ditched the headlight washers with my stock front bar not long ago, there are a few Terrano's being wrecked around town here at the moment.

  5. Best thing you could do is have a look at the R50's on the market for the same dollars as the pristine WD, if an R50 in the same condition is going to cost you a few grand more, grab the WD and put the difference into making it your own (tyres, lift & anything else you want).

  6. that aussie npora run sounds like an awesome idea, but are there really enough of us to be able to get a worthwhile meet out of it?

also, for anyone in Syd/central coast, newcastle etc. a few weeks ago i got informed that the Wattagan State forest and Olney State Forest are being handed over to national parks and wildlife, so if thats your wheeling spot, it will be gone within the next couple years.

there are quite a few of us here, some not as active as others, but it could be done. Can perhaps organise some of the PCoA crew as well.
