how big in tires can i go?

hi you doing,

i have a 2002 stock se edition pathfinder....however i want to deck it out for fourwheeling. i want to put brush guards, hood vents, fog light, and bigger tires on it. first thing i want to get tires.....something like bfg's AT 31x10.5 but i want to know if i can just put them on and have no problems without lifting it cause i dont have the money for both the tires and lift.....so will those tires fit anyone know and if you have pics or info on the other items i want to do....gladly open , thanks alot

31x10.50s will fit with no lift on an r50.

 

as for other things you may want to get if your going to turn into a serious offroad enthusiast/weekend warrior would be skids...

As per brush guard, sometimes they can cause more damage than protection (NOT always the case) but since you have an 2002 you can fit an arb bull bar bumper, they come with a pretty heavy pricetag but people who have them will say they are well worth it.

This is the clearance you get with LT245/75R16 (10 ply) at the front with the stock suspension:
