  1. Only a year and a half late, 90seven, but it was me, kcmendy from Pahrump. We were headed to the lake for for a weekend and I saw your Pathy. Did you ever make it over Wheeler Pass? I was there Sunday (09-13-09). Sorry for the late reply, not on the forum much anymore, work got in the way. kcmendy.
  2. Hey, put up a paypal or snailmail addy, I don't have a lot, but I'm ready to pony up at least ten, hopefully more. Kelley
  3. Ok Everyone, Bought a '90 Pathfinder for my step-son, Bearly ran, but it did run. Guy that it was bought from had put 2 stroke gas in it....gas with 2 stroke oil in it. Replaced the plugs, cap and rotor, cleaned the MAS, put more gas in it without emptying the old gas, ran a little better. Parked it. Replaced the timing belt-- Already done this with my 95-- belt is good and right. I say this because I know someone is going to say the timing is off on the belt, I'm 99.9% sure the timing is right on the belt, turned it over by hand 10 or 11 revolutions without any problems after the belt change. NOW- the engine doesn't start, it sounds like it will start- sounds like it is out of time maybe firing too late. replaced the fuel filter, coil and inductor?(little box right behind the coil screwed to the intake). NO start- kinda Diesels but no start. Fuel only pumps when trying to start it ( I thought it was a pressurized system, Is this a fuel regulator thing that it only pumps fuel to the engine when it is started?) Fuel pump runs for a little while when the key is turned on. New plugs have a carbon dust on them from burning the 2 stroke oil(I hope). It did backfire once when I took the fuel line from the fuel rail and turned it over a few times to get some of the crappy fuel out of the lines. I'm hoping clogged injectors from the crap gas, ANY INSIGHTS would be welcome. Can't check the engine codes cause it doesn't run enough and the battery cables have been off while doing other things. Thanks, kcmendy
  4. Belts. I replaced all my belts when I changed my timing belt. Before the change they didn't squeal, a month after they do at startup and randomly while driving. The belts I replaced with are after-market. Someone (on here) said OEM belts won't start to squeal unless worn out. My next belts will be OEM. Kelley
  5. seems to me everyone should build up thier stats before reforming the gang. at 100 respect-you don't get any. let me know when you reform. kcmendy
  6. Just need a time and starting place, 90seven. I am free on weekends, but will take off during the week if need be. Kelley
  7. 90seven, Which way will you be going, through Cold Creek and over to Pahrump, or from Pahrump to Cold Creek? And when are you planning to go? I haven't been up in that area since the fire a few years ago. Kelley
  8. KC- First and middle initials, Mendy- Shortening of my last name, and what many ppl know me as.
  9. Desert is all I have, so it gets my vote.
  10. No, sorry, the last part of the post was an edit, got it figured out, thanks.
  11. 95 Xe I am changing the timing belt and I have a problem. I have both cam shaft timing marks lined up, I have the crank shaft timing mark lined up, I have the distibutor roter lined up. I have confirmed TDC with a dowel in the #1 cylinder. NOW, here's my problem, the lines on the timing belt are off, LH cam two teeth left, RH cam five teeth off. I am hoping that whoever changed the belt the last time just didn't line up the belt lines, but I don't want to go any further until I get your advise. Just checked the lines on the old belt (still on the sprockets), and the new belt, the belts was put on wrong, but it has cost me over an hour of worry to figue this out. thanks, kcmendy
  12. Another high speed internet connection I can't use... Stupid septic tank. :furious:
