    MUZIK@!

man, all i listen to is country. "mud on the tires" and "not as good as i once was" are super old and very overplayed. when im going through mud (which i do alot), i usually dont have the music up very loud since im tryin to pay attention to what im doing. i do have a system though, so some rap always works.
  4. i got the 31 x 10.5 r15 dayton timberline mt's! they do pretty good, i havent been stuck yet where my buddy with a z71 with some maxxis big horns (i think) got stuck up to his axle. he got out and i went right through it. so they haven't failed me yet. the only thing i could change would be the ride noise. i wish they were louder! my other buddy has the 285/75/16 timberline mt's too and hes gotten through everything thats been put it front of him.
  5. haha, problem fixed. i freaked out about nothing. on my windshield, the weather stripping had come half way off and was slappin the car. i feel like a dumbass, lol.
  6. Hey. i was driving home today, parked the pathy, wenti inside and came to get back in the truck to drive. as soon as i hit 35 mph, i hear a loud clutter sound (the sound you hear when u let your tounge roll off your teeth real fast, sorta like when a rocks stuck in your tire), so i come off, take off the wheel and see that on the compressin rod, the collar (?) is broke in half. in the haynes manual, page 11-10 theirs a diagram on the bottom of the page, thats where i got this from. its the collar right before the frame. i am not sure if this is causing my problem or not? any help would be appreciated. sorry for no pics, but my digi cam has no batteries if thats the problem, do i just need to go to a junk yard and get the part or is it safe to ride with it like that?
  7. well, in my 88 i kinda dont like to spend alot on oil (I know.. its not a good thing), but i use advance auto parts brand 20w-50. it hasn't given me any leaks or problems yet.
  8. i was looking at a 4runners and jeep cherokees.. (i had the money in hand for 94 4x4 cherokee), but those deals fell through. so i posted a wanted ad on craigslist and some college kid called me that night wondering if i was interested in a pathfinder. i was like what the hell does a 88 pathfinder look like? so i got on car domain and the first one i saw was 88pathy's and i was like hell yeah, ima get that thing and jack it up. so i called him back and we set a time and date to meet up. i had to drive almost 3 hours to meet him. but for 950 bucks, i cant beat it. i'd only driven a 5 speed a few times, and this was just super easy to drive. the looks are OK. i like the looks of toyotas, but hey, im the only guy in the parking lot at school with a pathfinder.
  9. what about like a desert prerunner rear bumper and extend it down under the back of the body?
  10. where in the southeast are you? im in pine mountain, georgia (south western georgia) and i could show you plenty of trails me and my friends have made back in the woods where they cleared all the trees. and course, plenty of mud.
  11. i actually like jeeps. dont get me wrong, i like my pathfinder, but i actually was about to buy a 94 4 door 4x4 cherokee. i test drove that thing and loved it. the engine had about 190,000 miles on it and it still drove great. im not a big fan of wranglers nor libertys though. i guess like somebody said above, EVERYBODY has a jeep.
  12. my taurus one was 93.77 at advance. but it also had a lifetime warranty. try and get one with a warranty.
  13. what is the cable for. i have the little string to the piece of metal and i have no idea what it does.
  14. its always the same with me. miller light and budweiser to get drunk. bud light and molson ice for the taste. then of course, jack and coke.
  15. or you could go to like advance auto parts and get them cheap. i used to break 3-4 motor mounts a month in my taurus. the process was real easy. i think i jacked up the oil pan, then loosened front and rear mounts and jacked the engine up, then replaced the broken one. im not sure if its the same on a Pathfinder though.
  16. feel around, you can fell it vibrating i guess you could say when its beeping. that was the first thing i took off when i got the car.
  17. 88path, which user are you? simpleminded? they got a feedback score of like 60!
  18. 10 to 15 feet for your 4 hi to engage? we have the same year, and mine doesn't even take that long.. maybe just a few feet. at least your 4x4 light comes on.

    Off-road Kit

haha wow. maybe one day i'll bring all that stuff yall mentioned. i just usually bring a shovel, a come along, 2 chains, a nylon strap, my cb with a 8 foot whip, cell phone, and plenty of fluids for the pathy to keep moving. also, i usually go with a friend that has a truck or suv that is as capable as i am. hopefully by the end of the summer, i'll have a winch.
  20. its right in front of the engine bay
  21. well, im starting to get really pissed off. i have a 88, and i dont know if it keeps flooding out or whatever, but earlier i left work and i couldn't get it started. it wouldn't go above 500 rpm. it would just putter and cut off. well after 45 mins of this crap, i finally get it going. it did the same thing to me yesterday. i know i had this problem when i first bought it so i replaced the air filter and fuel filter and i put some gas treatment in it earlier. is there something im missing here or what? has anybody else had these problems?
  22. somebody help me with this problem. i dont know what this is and how it broke. also, what do i need to do to fix it. its starting to turn the side of my engine bay black!
  23. they wont fit. hes needs at least 2" spacers for it to work. he can fit 31 x 12.5's no problem
