  2. thirsty these trucks are. 15-17 im getting mixed hwy/cty. im going with the westin bull bar i just dont like the full brush guard.
  3. i agree im quite capable ill never pay someone to do what i can do myself. this weekend im gonna convert my 99 auto maxima to a 5 speed. hows that for a weekend project....a few buddies a few beers and by sunday afternoon a 5 speed.....
  4. i see all this stuff about AC boards and AC parts ect... what is AC ?
  5. 200 watts total 2 tweeters on a pillars 4 speakers (one in each door) individually amplified also something marked bose in the trunk behind panel on left side look in vent youll see a thing marked BOSE not sure what it is. steering wheel controls 6 disc..mine works flawlessly so far. info from my 2001 r50 yes it sounds better than the stocker... the bose system is actually tuned by bose engineers for the vehicle then mass reproduced.
  6. the newer trucks have that feature. my maxima will roll down the windows with the remote. however on the pathy once the door opens the relay cuts the power. just remove the relay and jump it. however since he has an older truck he dosent have that relay.
  7. tell me about it !! Its like they are made of gold or something...ill never give up NEVER !!!!
  8. thats the roof rack i want. i hate the LE rack. i want the SE rack with the wind thing in front and Pathfinder written on the side.....
  9. is it low or high pitched ? LE or SE model ? (the roof racks are different) you put ls thats not a model. get ready to sped a few bucks to upgrade from the bose system. 200 watts, pretuned, indiv. amped speakers. an aftermarket radio outs 65x4 watts at most..luckily ive got nav in my 01 and the smaller bose. mine still sounds great. plus i just added a dvd/tv
  10. i guess ive gotta get some kind of adapter to commect the fm transmitter up.
  11. nice i love the install. too bad my heated seat switches are right there along with the auto 4x4 switch
  12. actually i was referring to the lights in the mirror on the visor not the map lights. you know the ones that come on when you flip open the mirror cover ?
  13. ive got every bulb size on the truck except for the visor mirror lights. im converting everything to white LED and ive been thru the owners manual and my anes manual. ive checked sylvainia and a few other site. but no luck. has anyone changed them and know the size ? oh and also the instrument cluster lights
  14. thanks for the help ill take a look ! whats a good CB brand to go with for basic use. uniden ? midland ? radio shack ? cobra ?
  15. im installing my 7"monitor and dvd player with tv tuner this weekend for the kid. i want to install the fm modulator so it plays over the bose system. does the pathfinder have a diversity antenna like my maxima did ? reason im asking is id like to have all the parts here before i take the truck apart. plus im istalling a cb at the same time. however i havent decided on the cb yet ill be buying it tomm. remember i have the smaller bose unit cause i have nav.
  16. thanks...ive got 49k thats not been so abusive..ill change them at the 60K mile tune up.
  17. oh i nkow your not here to check them personally. the question was more along the lines of the normal time people changed theirs.
  18. truck is a 2001 model and im aurious if you think the shocks/struts need replacing yet ? i dont think they ever have been changed im sure they are the originals. suggestions on a good replacment for stock suspension ?
  19. what about the k&n intake. ive seen them for 99.5 to 2004's. its like 250 bucks but im not sure if its worth it. the pop charger just sucks up hot air hence its killing power. i want a true cai.
  20. yea im not getting the tail gaurds..i plan on a westin bull bar and some nice lights though.
  21. yes please be careful goin under the truck my friend ( i wasnt there) was crushed changing a clutch in his driveway ( hes alive but had NUMEROUS broken ribs, punctured lung ect you get the idea. if your doing this on gravel get a piece of 2 x 10 x 8 pressure treated wood and cut it to size its like 10-15 bucks. this way you dont have to worry about it getting water soaked its ment to be outside. stick tires under truck on frame or on unibody jack points. use jack stands and keep the jack in place under truck like everyone else said. if you have bricks use em no cinder blocks they are weak your pathfinder will crush it if it falls with enough momentum.
