Cone Air intake

Hey, I just installed a cheapy intake from AutoZone. I was wondering why my check engine light was on. I plugged in all the vac hoses and I am sure this is what caused the light to come on. Any ideas? any help would be great

Nope.. re-check the vacuum hoses... then get the error code number and check it out.

Some aftermarket filters come pre-oiled too heavily and the intake can actually suck a fine mist of oil through it, coating the MAF sensor and triggering the CEL.

Sometimes it starts up fine, other times it bogs down at first, then takes a little while to get to idle. Once I get going though it runs fine, I just wish I could turn off that light. I'm going to get my codes read tom, I post what happens.

You can check the ecu codes yourself. If you're paying to have it done you might want to consider buying a reader. It might cost less than having someone else do it once.
