Hey guys long time i know

i was wondering i put in a knew raidiator about a month ago well its a universal one made for auto or standard trany anyway i do a lot of pulling trailers and cars and crap so i figured that i would get me one of those oil filter relocation kits (want one anyway ) tee it off and run one line out to raidiator tranny cooling lines(cause i have a standard tranny)and back to the relocated spot plus it would give me a little more oil and thats cool too S my question to every one is where can i get an relocation kit for my oil filter ? Ive read some of you guys talking about a chevy 350 filter being the same if this is the case wont a kit for 350 or chevy 4.3 fit also ideas any one

you're going to run your Oil into your (not in use) ATX Fluid Cooler on the rad?.. A common problem with those is that they clog up with just clean ATX fluid going through it, wouldn't used engine oil do it even faster?

check 4x4parts.com for Oil relocation kits, I think they have one.

yes derogate youve got it but I didnt really think about clog problems maybe it wuold be better to just spring for a larger engine oil cooler . Are they that much bigger of an bore than the tubes in a raid for an atx cooler? Any other ideas

Can you clarify your question. So you have a new RADIATOR and you want to hook up an oil filter relocation kit. Did you say you want to T it off and run the tranny and engine oil through the relocated filter?

I think what he's trying to say is he wants to install an Engine Oil cooler as well as an oil filter relocation kit. He already has installed an external transmission cooler, and from the sounds of it has bypassed the stock trans cooler.

Personally I don't think the engine oil cooler is all that nessecary I think you will get plenty of cooling just with an oil filter relocation kit. You can purchase oil filter relocation kits from Summit Racing. And they use Ford filters AFAIK.

Ok to clarify I was typing fast earlier slower now

My new raidiator has the hookups for the auto trany fluid cooler lines

I have a standard 5-speed 91 Pathy I dont need the tranny cooler so i figured i would

be industrias and run engine oil lines from relocated filter kit through trany fluid lines in the radiator. Since replacing the raid i havent had cooling problems but, I use my pathy at least three times a week to pull a 18foot trailer with anywhere from 10 too 20 home appliances about 70 miles. And ive seen these said engine oil coolers on 3/4 ton and larger trucks that are used for alot of hauling and i figured what the hell it wouldnt hurt to have an engine oil cooler also.

well, i got that part. it was some of the details that i couldn't decipher. anywhooo, the motor oil is not a bad idea at all. it would extend the life of the oil and thus positively effect the engine itself but like derogate mentioned the stock coolers are crap and i wouldn't want to risk it. installing another externall cooler would probably be the way to go.
