Guest andacb
Hi everyone, I recently bought a 1992 Pathfinder, 2.5 lt. gas. engine with carburatour, 5 sp. manual trans., 2 dr and 4WD.. Before buying it, I don't know any single thing about Pathfinders and because of that I need some help from you all.. Here are my "newby" questions: 1. I need some parts (like sunroof weatherstrips and lock, left and middle "ventilator assy" parts and a body lift kit, etc.) and I need them to be shipped to Turkey. Do you know any online shop that makes it possible? 2. When I bought my pathfinder, I saw that the vehicle is too "down" in front. After visiting my service, it comes out that left torsion is not properly installed. With a torsion installisation and setting it, the vehicle goes up 10 cm's. Now I need to get the back of the vehicle up too but for a good look, I need the original height values of the 92 pathfinder. Anyone knows anything about it? 3. My pathfinder's engine makes some kind of knocking noise when I drive up the hill in like 4. gear with 60 km/h or in likely situations. Anyone experienced something like that? 4. Any advice for a good driving with my pathfinder is very welcome! 5. I have 253/75R15 tires and I lifted my pathfinder up with a torsion setting a little. Does anyone know other ways to lift up the vehicle without buying a body or suspension kit? 6. I need a 92 owners manual. Online or copy.. Can anyone help? That are the questions I can remember. Thanks in advance for your help.. See ya soon.. Andac Edited March 26, 2006 by andacb
sw
1. dont know any links, theres no local wreckers in turkey? 2. dont know stock height figures, but do a search in here on gjc springs & bobs your uncle. 3. when you say knocking do you mean deep low tone knocking or is it a high pitch ping? 4th gear up hill at slow speed - sounds like one very loaded engine pinging in objection to its current state. ping = bad. 4. ?? 5. the only two real ways to lift is suspension & body. 6.cant help you there. you mentioned its a 2.5L engine are you sure, it probablt a 2.4L engine. know as a Z24. sorry im not really much help.
