wheel size/backspacing

Will a 15x8 wheel with 3.75 backspacing work on a 1994 pathfinder? Just curious what sizes will and won't work. Also I can't find anywhere what stock backspacing is that's why i'm resorting to this post.

Will it work??? Yes. Dependant on the size of tire you plan on running and how much, in any, lift you have installed. Searching the many prior threads on the matter should give you the factory backspacing but I think it's closer to 4.25 or 4.5.

I would like to run 31/10.5's on stock ride height with 15x8 wheels with 3.75 back spacing. I plan on doing a 3inch body lift further down the road but would like to get started with some wheels and tires for now. I'm just trying to do my homework -study- now as to not hate myself later if I purchase them and they don't fit without rubbing.

31's will fit without rubbing.....but if your current tires are okay, you'd be better served by doing the Body lift, then getting a set of 32's or, if you do a suspension lift at the same time, you can run 33's.

thanks for the response. that's a great point that I think has influnced my decisison. I'll get the rims and body lift and 10-15k miles later I'll hopefully be getting some 32's.
