I ordered a set of cams and 2 engine mounts from nismoparts.com on Thursday 2.23. I asked if my order would be shipped before the weekend, and the lady that took my order said yes. I asked for my total and she said the guy that took care of shipping wouldn't be there until tomorrow. Sounded weird but I called back the next day (Friday) and "the guy" wasn't there. I said will my order still ship this week, and she said yes. I said "so your shipping my order without giving me a total?" She said shipping is usually about 10% of the order. My order was $756 so according to their absurd shipping formula my shipping was supposed to be $75. So the more you spend, the more they screw you on shipping. I told her most people charge according to weight and size of the package and that was a rediculous way to price shipping. I said if it was going to be that much I would just get my cams from JWT. She said "the guy" would be back Monday and I could talk to him then. Called on Monday and "the guy" called in sick. I asked if anyone there could tell me what my total was, and she put me on hold. She called "the guy" at home and finally told me shipping was $50 and they were giving me a break becuase it was supposed to be $80. I told her I used to work in a packing store and the shipping shouldn't cost more than $15, plus another $5 for a fair markup, that means you guys are charging me $30 to put it in a box and tape it, and that's the "break" price? She had no authority so I gave in and said fine, ship it.

 

Recieved my order today, missing an engine mount. The engine mount looks nothing like OE. I called them and the guy answering said "did you know those mounts require some fabrication to make them work?" I told him I wouldn't have ordered them if someone there had told me that. I told him I was sending back the mount because it is useless.

 

To put the icing on the cake, the cams ARE NOT NISMO they are JWT cams. Their website never disclosed they were JWT parts. They are selling the JWT's for $43 more than I could have paid on jimwolftechnology.com, + their high shipping.

 

I want to ship the whole damn thing back to them with a $50 shipping bill but I don't want to wait forever to get my money back. I need the cams soon, and after buying an engine, headers, and this mess in the last 2 weeks I'm assed out and dont have the $ to order another set of cams while nismoparts.com credits me. I'll probably send the POS mount to them and charge them based on a percentage of their overpriced shipping. I have a friend at Mailboxes Etc. that can hook me up with a high bill. I'm gonna call now and confront them about the cams. :furious:

Sorry to hear you were taken for a ride... We've all been there and it sucks - the extra bucks is bad enough, but the realization that you just got ripped off is the worst.

 

Thanks for the heads up. It's stories like this that makes me use Summit for everything I can.
