R3M Posted February 14, 2006 Share Posted February 14, 2006 Hi, My D21 Terrano has a dud speedo drive from the gearbox. The speedo doesnt work, yet the cable is still fine(works with drill) The little turning bit inside the drive spins freely at my control and also moves in and out, is this normal? Its an Auto box mounted to the 2.7 TDI. So i'm not sure if its the same as the V6 auto ones I tried to remove it from the gearbox, its an elipse shape thing that has one 10mm bolt holding it on, I unbolted it but cant seem to remove it. GrimGreg Posted February 14, 2006 Share Posted February 14, 2006 Only speedo gear I ever worked on was on an NP T-case. To get it out you had to remove the retainer nut, then turn the whole thing a little bit to pull it out. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
