Advice to the wise consumer:

 

Make sure you compare applications and desires.

 

A shock that is too soft on a truck with steel wheels and big mudder tires may be too stiff on one with aluminum wheels and street tires....

 

And vice versa!

 

And of course, some folks prefer a really stiff, solid, controlled ride while others prefer compliant and bump absorbing.
