Pathy stalling :(

I'm getting her ready to sell, and its been sitting for just over two months (i've started once or twice each month and let it warm up). and since I let it sit, every time i start it, it pours out white exhaust untill its warmed up. It smells HEAVILY of gas, but nothing else really. When I put it in reverse 30 seconds or so after starting it, it stalls occasionally. And if I put it in reverse to go up my driveway, and give it a good hit of gas, it stalls, or almost stalls also.. I had to drive it up the to the top of my driveway (its uninsured) and let it run for about 5 minutes (@ 2.5k rpm or so) there before the exhaust leveled out to a reasonable output... it still kinda stinks though.

any ideas guys? o2 sensor maybe? something like that anyway? No dummy lights are on, in the dash. But i'm hoping you guys know if this sounds familiar or not, since I dont want to have to pull the codes on it...

thanks.

95 SE-V6 ATX.

the exhaust smells like gas... Thats the best i can describe it.... Really really stong exhaust smell. like if I was following my buddies 350 Chev with a 650 carb on it (way to big for a stock 350). thats the first thing that popped into my head when I smelled it

how hard is it to source parts like an o2 sensor, and install it?

strong gas smell? search using those words.. slick and others have had some issues with that.. not sure if any or what the culprits/solutions might have been..

o2.. well, they run from about $40-$100+; to find the cheap ones you'll have too look hard.. not too bad on the replacement job unless yours is anything like mine then it's a 11/10 on a PITA scale ;) mine was spot welded on and there just isn't enough room to be able to do much.. to get the sawzall up in there i had to remove the x member; guess what, i ended up sawzalling all those bolts too (after spending way too many hours on giving them the treatment.) soooo, it depends.. if everything is peachy, the job shouldn't take much longer then 15 min. 22mm open end wrench is a must.

Its Pathy thing, kinda like when the girl friend meets the wife :hide:

Just drive her every other day and she will purrrrrr like a kitten..... :hide:

I know that it worked for my 88, when I parked her after getting the 95 and did not drive the 88 for like 3 months... I thought everything in it went booooommmm. After about 300 miles she ran like a champ again and still is....

Sorry had to throw that in...

Edit... How much are your selling your pathy for?

its TBA. Thers a couple small things I wanna get in order

I paid 7500 CAD for it... which was silly of me, but it was just before the gas price boom, and other ones with less milage (but poorer condition) where selling for similar pricings. I'm gonna try and get at LEAST 6200 out of it, but I know my chances are pretty slim... If I absolutly can't sell it for somewhere around that price range, I'm going to trade it in to a dealership to get a <94 toyota pickup... that is, if my current land cruiser deal doesn't work out.
