SteveWA
Park with the nose facing up a hill or steep driveway of say 10-20 degrees or so the Pathfinder won't start. Have to roll it level and then she'll go. Runs fine after starting, even up steep hills? Fuel Pump problem??? What do you think?

SteveWA
It was on 3/4 of a tank. It's happened twice now. Once in my mates driveway and again today when I was leaving the beach camp.
kremmen
If its a diesel, try priming the fuel pump, could be that or your glow plugs. Mine was starting hard when parked on a hill, so i replaced fuel pump and plugs and she is sweet now.

Vsicks Pathy
I do not know if Australian delivered Pathies are different to the US models. Check your oil level. Just in case it is the same as a Holden donk and will not run unless the oil pressure is right. I suppose you should check if the fuel pump is running and test for spark at the injectors and plugs when it happens again. Apart from the Steve, it could be anytyhing causing it. Weird? 94extreme
well, this kind of makes me think that maybe you're loosing pressure in the lines.. (flow back) so, next time you park it like that before you even try to fire it back up, check for pressure at the rail. there should be a schreader valve there which you just depress and if you get a spray of gas then that's not it.. then try to start it... check spark etc.. that's the only thing i can think of related to levelness of the truck.. not sure why the pump wouldn't just re-pressurise it when you click the key though.
