madhatter_xe
Hey has anybody had a leaky crank seal on their Pathfinder? I have a small leak that drips from below the crank. I know this might be a cam leaking, but I just changed the seals when I did my t-belt about 10,000km ago. I'm kicking myself now for not changing the crank seal when I was in there... eventually I'll have to pull the cover off and take a look...arggg... 94extreme
could be the new seals.. sometimes they don't take.. either way, you'll have to dis-assemble. daumn
Guest sublimewhatigot
I would have to agree. Cam seals on most cars are best to not mess with unless they are already leaky.
madhatter_xe
Cam seals on most cars are best to not mess with unless they are already leaky. This information would have been useful 10,000km ago . They had over 200K km's on them so i figured it was time to change'm. I'll try to take a look this weekend. Geeky907
did a front crank seal on mine less then a year ago and it looks like its gone again.... dunno why but it seems that the front crank oil-seal is possibly a weakness or at the very least a "touchy spot" for the ol vg30 just my 0.02$ - geeky907
