Precise1
A steep hill and a tailwind... :o Seriously, headers, freeflow cat and good muffler all with 2.25-2.5" pipe is #1. Good plugs/wires and MSD or Jacobs ignition helps some. You are kind of stuck with the air filter but I'm sure there must be some good drop ins. From there you go to port and polish, cams, swapping heads for VG33's, etc but thats $ !! Get it breathing, farting and sparking as good as you can and realize you have a mellow tuned 3.0 V6... Good news is that they last a long time !! B
Mr. Pickles
Supercharged small block, nitrous, etc? In the real work, what he said ? /\ Get her tuned good, breathing and farting good, rolling good, reduce drag due to roof racks, lift, etc., keep a good tire pressure, and on and on. If its a stock truck, and everything else is in order, it is what it is. Then there is the question of if you're lifted, have larger tires, etc. If so, you may want to look into swapping the gears, but that is expensive.
