QuismO
hello again all, i'm trying to replace the rear door speakers with new 2 or 3-way speakers. however, how do i go about removing the door panels? i could only find ONE screw, which is covered by a circular cap in the armrest. Can't seem to find any other screws, and i'm scared to pull away at the door panel as i did the bottom section (closer to the rear of the vehicle), and the plastic snap "thing" (pinkish orange in color) ripped right out of the panel backing. is there a special way to approach this task? i didn't think i had to remove the entire panel since the plastic structure over the speaker is separate from the panel and armrest, but after closer inspection, i realized that the plastic piece is held by screws, which can only be accessed from the other side of the panel...not by any "snaps". thanks in advance guys and gals. quizzy

Pezzy
That's pretty easy - a couple screws and a few gentle pulls. (WTF, that sounds kinda perverse!)

QuismO
pezzy: it worked out great...thanks a bunch. got the door panels off at 10 mins each with your helpful diagrams. put the new 3-way 6.5's and took out the old bose mids (sound great, but no highs--lyrics become distorted when i turn up the volume =P). so yea...worked like a charm!!! parthy: as for the center console, yea the diagram's pretty much right...two screws on the two bottom corners, and pull the bottom end towards you and work your way up...after you pull it out, just disconnect the wire harnesses for the hazards and rear window defroster, and you should be set =)
