I was on the turnpike and my speedometer dial suddenly went back down, which then triggered the check engine light. The speedometer doesn't count anymore i was told it could be the sensor Bcos 95's dont use cable anymore

it cost $85 to get a diagnostic test

my car is a Nissan Pathfinder 1995 SE with 177000mile before the incident .

I will like to know if there is any do it youself solution to my problem.

general comment are welcome like cost of fixing etc.
