Pacesetter prices

Is $215 a good price for a new set of headers? I noticed that Pacesetter's listed price on their site is something in the $500 range.

Have you ever looked at a set of Pacesetter headers? They look like a 6 year old child welded them up with Elmer's glue. I'd really advise getting the Thorley headers instead, they'll probably fit right the first time. People have been complaining about the poor quality and fit of the Pacesetters for a long time. The only advantage of getting Pacesetters is that they're cheaper, and you really do get what you pay for in this case...

I've heard the paint on the pacesetter's flake off after like 30 minutes of driving too... just not a good product at all.

Whats the price diff between the Thorleys and Pacesetters? Is it substantial?

I can vouche (sp?) for Thorley's, only not for a Pathy. I had a set for my 70 Chevelle that were trouble free for 7 years, only had to re-torque the bolts once.

Good quality steel, good MIG welded seams and collector etc...
