Hey there Turtle9. Ok, you have a 94 A/T. Stock exhaust after the y on my 95xe is 2". You don't have to install headers, although that will give you more power... You can just replace the exhaust studs, and put in a high flow cat and muffler. Most people seem to go with 2.25" or 2.5" pipe; 3" is probably overkill for a choked 3.0 liter V6... Questions are if you have $ for the headers (recommended) and if you live in a smog strict area.

There has been a gazillion write ups about the exhaust and headers on NPORA forums... with prices, part numbers, sizes, fit, pics, install tips, etc... search... it's worth it! :aok:

I had a long chat with the Muffler guys today.

We came up with a plan of attack on the exhast challenge.

Currently the drivers side header is as far as we can tell stock, the passenger side has a junkyard oem header with one broken stud.

Based on him knowing that I can license in a non inspection county, new custom exhaust from the headers back. Appointment set for the 31st. Estimated cost $250 to $300 FlowMaster and all :cool2:

He also mentioned going through the injectors and cleaning/replacing/upgrading. 130k miles may be worth it, one step at a time.
