I have come to the conclusion that i am insane and very desperate to go very fast... my friends have 2 66' ,67' chevy short beds that push 500 and 650 hp at the rear and my truck has a mere 187 hp so i have decided that i want a big ol beast to fill the hollow space in my head and hood. has anyone else thought about this or have any suggestions for me cause i was thinking a new tranny and small 350 would boost me up in rank a notch or two but i haven't thought about the problems that will certainly arise so what should i look for... Please and Thanks!

It'll be all custom fab-work to get one in there, plus I dunno how the unibody setup and axles will withstand 2X the HP it was intended to have, but hey. JGC's are unibody too with 5.9 liter V8's.

88 hit it on the nose along with....Lots of time, $$$$ and frustrations. Remember your truck is a unibody and with too much HP you'll twist that thing so bad you'll never open a door again.....if you can find a way to keep an axle under it.

 

You might want to rule out too much HP and keep it mild. I say go for it.....lots of friends, call in all favors and who knows.....

 

I've thought about it too....when I still had my Chevelle I wondered many an afternoon, what it would take to squeeze my 307 into the Pathy.
