95 Xe Throwing Code "14" For Vehicle Speed Sensor

Long story short,..my 95 Pathfinder check engine light keeps coming on intermittently, but never stays on for more than a few minutes. Finally got around to following ECU self diagnostics procedures (great writeup BTW  ) and confirmed it's throwing code 14 for Vehicle Speed Sensor. Tried looking up info on that but haven't had any luck. Where is this thing and can I just replace it ??? Stealership wanted $70 just to read the code. ..so I figure I'm ahead already.

Thanks-

I had my speed sensor replaced for $230, the sensor and pinion cost $181.50 from

the Nissan dealership, I couldn't find that part online anywhere. I think it could

easily be done at home, just unbolt it, unplug it, pull it out of the tranny, plug and

bolt the new one in and you are good to go... It did splash a little gear oil out but

nothing major, I hope :X Anywho, mine was a standard transmission, R50 model

'96 pathy. Dunno if it's different for the '95.
