SQWEEKY BELT

Hey everyone. I recently noticed that my belt sqweeks and it doesn't matter if it is wet or dry outside. I have a 03 LE with only 23000 miles. Can it be the time to change them?? ORRRRR Should I use a spray that stops the sqweeking. Thanks. :help:

... or just remove them. They're kinda like the oil filter, just a dealer add-on that you don't really need.

 

But seriously, I've heared toothpaste can help a belt from slipping. But if it was my truck, I'd check the belt tension or replace them.

Don't grease the belts, sheesh. You can try some belt dressing spray, see if that helps. Otherwise, it's time for new belts.

Check the belt tensions and conditions...then decide what the deal is.

 

BTW.. if you use toothpaste I hear your Pathy goes faster afterwards?

Not much faster, but you have a minty fresh scent under the hood.

 

I didn't make the toothpase thing up, though. I think it goes along with using Coke and aluminum foil to clean rust off chrome. Probably works, but neither is something I would bother with.
