I bought a 1995 Nissan Pathfinder from a local and I have seem to have problems with the fuel pump. They pulled the assembly apart and plumed and wired in a outside fuel pump. They took all of the parts off the sending unit and I'm trying to figure out how to reassemble the correct pump. I'm missing the orange hose parts, what do those do? Need help

I know where and how to install the fuel pump but I'm missing parts. The tube that goes to the strainer is what I'm missing and I don't know if I need it. Oh they weren't trying to carb swap it they were just cutting corners.
