Wheel fit help

Recommended Posts

Hola.  Ran into an issue with wheels i ordered. Apparently I didn't research enough and not getting front mounted.  Bore on wheels is 106 but they taper in where cap fits and aren't deep enough to clear.

I'm guessing that I'll need spacers but wanted to see with more experienced members if there's another route.  Looks like I'm about 1/2" short.

Also, if I run 1/2 spacers up front will I need to match 1/2 spacers out back as well?

I appreciate any help.   Thank you!

You can't run half inch spacers without longer studs. You need 1.25 in or 1.5 in spacersthat have separate wheelstuds. . Hopefully you tried installing the wheel before mounting the tires, because returning them is your best option.

Yeah, I'm pretty nieve and already had tires put on. I'm kinda crushed cause I'd been shopping for wheels for a while.   I should've test fitted but I didn't think this would be an issue.   Thank you for your help, guess I need to find different wheels.

That sucks. I remember someone had the same problem with a set of GM wheels, and had them bored out to fit. Might be an option?

I actually watched some videos on that.  I decided to take the loss.  I just ordered another set of cheap wheels that should work.  They have a straight through center bore and tall caps.  Couple wheel site show they fit.  Out some cash but guess that's the cost lol.  Luckily I got pretty good deals all around so kinda breaking even 😅
