tranny cooler--->oil cooler

Recommended Posts

maybe someone here has done it once before, but now i ask....

--->first does the tranny fluid get as hot as the oil in your engine???

--->can i add an aftermarket tranny cooler and use the old tranny cooler as an oil cooler?

--->would there really be any use/gain to my nonsense?

Does it get as hot as your engine? I would think it would get pretty hot depending on what you're doing. If you're towing a load, or whatnot, then yes, I'd imagine it could get hot.

Thats the whole reasoning in adding an aftermarket tranny cooler. If you're going to add protection to your tranny, why negate it by taking out the stock one? You could save yourself time and $$$ by just leaving it alone. LOL
