FriedEGs
Alright, been chasing a few oil leaks on my 97 SE. (3.3) Replaced both valve cover gaskets, which helped. Noticed oil leak from right above the alternator. Tore down to the Cam seals and sure enough, the passenger seal had a pin-sized hole and oil everywhere. Replaced both cam seals, replaced the front main seal, behind the crank pulley. Unfortunately, still have a significant leak from somewhere else on the front side of the motor. It is def coming from higher than the oil pan and the oil pan gasket appears to be fine. What am I missing? Is there another source for oil to leak? Is there a connecting point between the oil filter housing and the block that I am missing? The engine is so dirty from all the previous oil leaks that I can't tell where the fresh leak is coming from. Thanks!

jyeager
Put some UV dye in your oil and then a few days later look at it with a black light.
FriedEGs
Oil pressure sending unit and the distributor pretty much. Thanks so much, I totally did not realize that the oil sender was right behind the filter. Turns out this thing was gushing oil right through to the plastic connector. Replaced and no more leaks! Thanks again!! Edited January 7, 2016 by FriedEGs
