Intake Q?

Recommended Posts

14 whp? No way. More like 5-8 crank hp. 4% increase in economy? Possibly. Say you get 16 mpg currently, a 4% increase would bump you to 16.64 mpg, a reasonable expectation. I saw about a .5 to 1 mpg increase with my "custom" intake, so I would beleive that claim. ;)

Thanks for the replies guys. I'll just make my own custom made cold air intake. Since the stocker has a pipe that goes under the fender, this can be already a cold air intake and add a K&N filter. I just need to modify the lower part of it right? Any suggestions on this idea!

check this out. This is what a couple members on here have done. i did it myself this fall, in my school parking lot. Pretty simple upgrade and the power is noticable especially at the higher RPMs.

Yeah, I just cleaned my JWT filter last week for the first time. Lots of crud and dirt in there. Then I created a heatshield for it using some materials laying around. So only air being directed in from the fender is used. Works great!
