fearkobe
I'm just asking but we are making a road trip to wa from CA and back and was wondering if it would be OK to drive on bad CV axles as long as we aren't using the 4x4? Just a question I don't really know the answer too. They don't click or make noise. Thanks
bushnut
if they don't click or make noise how do you know they are bad?

clkindred
If the joint is still good you can put new boots on and keep the stock axles. It seems the aftermarket replacement axles are kinda cheesy, but if it's just highway miles they are probably fine. I have driven on torn boots for months, twice, and still have the original axles with no problems.

tdurb1327
Install some manual hubs and that will make them last longer too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
ryan88pathy
I'm sure he has the electronic 4x4 switch and not the manual. So manual hubs would be bad. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk To my knowledge 2000 pathfinder did not have the option for the selectable switch. Why are you sure he has this?
