Darek
Hi. I think I have a grease leakage from the front propeller shaft. Few days ago I noticed a lot of grease spilled around grease point. I cleaned it at a car wash and now it looks clean. The grease sealant is soft, I can squeeze it by my fingers and see remaining grease. Here are some photos. https://goo.gl/photos/2KqMF6XBKuFPD1CB9 https://goo.gl/photos/doejSN3JcwXvKH9P9 Currently this is the only element with grease remaining: https://goo.gl/photos/doejSN3JcwXvKH9P9 Do you think I should replace the sealant? Can you point me to the part number and some instruction how to change it?
Precise1
That is nothing to be concerned of as long as there are no tears or splits in the rubber boot. Is there a grease nipple on that joint? If so, a few shots of grease would be a good idea. B
clkindred
I just went and looked at mine, there is a grease nipple to the rear of that rubber boot on the shaft, about halfway between the rubber boot and the u-joint leading to the transfer case. You may need to rotate the shaft to access it.
Darek
Ok, so I leave it as it is. Of course there is the grease nipple and I will grease it. Thank you.
