Antenna replacement

My automatic antenna on my vehicle has been stuck and bent for some time now, and I'm looking to replace it with a non motorized stationary antenna, preferably one of the shorter rubber type ones. Whats the process to switch from the automated one to a fixed antenna?

Thanks

Find a fixed one.

Pull passenger inner fender liner

Gently use a pair of needle nose pilers to twist off the chrome trim ring, where the antenna goes into the car.

Remove two (or three) screws that hold the antenna to the inner fender.

Install new, fixed antenna in reverse order.

It's a pretty straight forward swap. Only thing on wiring is not plugging in the motor harness. Just the single, thick black wire for the antenna.

I bought by "Euro" antenna on Amazon, $13 and it's been perfectly acceptable after three years and some bushwhacking. Decent reception, and definitely looks better.
